Would this be sturdy enough and big enough for cutlery?

I would think it would be strong enough and it's certainly big enough

Will this be big enough to fit game controllers? such as an xbox or index vr controllers?

Not really sure but I don’t think so as the drawers are only about. 1/12 to 2 inches deep.

Does this come assembled?

Yes it does come fully assembled. Very pleased with mine.

What is the exact internal height of the drawers? i need to fit paint pots that are just short of 4.5cm

The internal height is 4cm. I keep stationary for crafting in my drawer.
