This bug zapper really does what they say it does! It’s got a good power to kill most of the big bugs although the only weakness I found is in the small bugs like the noseeums. Smaller bugs seem to be able to pass right through it but the bigger bugs definitely get hit the first time to go through. All you hear is a single POW! And the bug is dead. One thing to be careful of, however if the bug gets caught in the grid, it will literally catch on fire and start smoking. I found that out when my fire alarm started going off and I happen to notice this waft of smoke coming off with the zapper. Turns out a fly had gotten caught on the grid between the two poles, and it was burning quite literally on fire. Definitely can’t say that this unit doesn’t have a lot of power because it does! I’ve owned quite a few bug zapper in the past and none of them have ever caused a bug to start catching on fire. Might be a bit of a cost for concern for some people, but for me, it’s not a major issue. There’s a good amount of space between the grid and the outside of the unit so it’s impossible for the fire to actually get through normally. Also, you can’t put your hand in it and touch the elements unless you take the bottom of it off to clean it out then and then can you access it. Definitely worth the money!

Good jammer with modern design. Sometime it makes me surprise with huge tick sound. But this mean the jammer is actually killing bug. So I am enjoying it. No smell and easy to use. Just plug in and let it sit where you want to place.

I love these little bug zappers! They really do the trick around my indoor plants and the garbage can. Works even better when you use apple cider vinegar in a small bowl, remove the "bug catcher" bottom and set the zapper up on top. The first time I heard these zap a bug, it startled the heck out of me (the zapping is loud) - but knowing they are doing the job, it's easy to forgive the electrocution being announced! Very convenient size that can be placed on the shelf with the plants or hanging above the trash can. Very well made and the florescent light makes for a great night light. I keep these on day and night and the first set I bought last year still work flawlessly but with repotting propagated plants, I needed more! Getting 2 for the price is a great value. As a failsafe, you might order replacement bulbs in case these are ever discontinued (I hope not since this is a great little product).

I had my doughts about this at first and almost sent it back. It took a while to figure out the best place for this in the house. There really is no low light area because I live in a trailer. When it zaps the dogs and I would jump. Lol sometimes still do. But once I saw it also would kill the wasps that were coming in after my daughters dog got stung I decided it was a keeper. U have to give it a few weeks to really know how it's gonna work, and I moved it 3 times. But once u find the right spot and it gets going, meaning ALL the bugs begin to get drawn to it, it seems to really work well. I'd recommend it to anyone . It is rather bright at night, which works well for me, but if u are bothered by that then ull have to move it. I wouldn't recommend unplugging it at night because we did that and it just wasent getting the bugs anymore when it was on.

Awesome set have one in that garage and in the house works great. Does a great job with the dual lamps in it and hits bugs hard. (Electrical zap loud)

Attractive, with a pretty ice blue, not overly harsh light, killed the mosquitoes. I'd buy it again!

I bought 1. It worked great. I have since bought 2 more. I use them frequently.

UPDATE TO UPDATE: I reached out to the seller about the defective product, and they sent me a replacement right away, so I am restoring all but one star, because I do hope they will work on their quality control. Customer service was prompt and they resolved the issue, though. PRODUCT UPDATE: Less than 2 months after purchase, one of the units completely failed. Because it was just past 30 days, Amazon would not allow me to exchange the product. The one remaining unit is still working great, but there is no excuse for a product's shelflife to not exceed the two month mark! I am keeping two stars because the remaining one is still going strong. I will re-add the other stars if Gecko Man replaces the faulty product at no cost to me! Note that these have been indoors the entire time, as we have had an influx of mosquitoes during the rainy season. I got a 2 pack of these little death machines, one for the living room, and one for the master bath. The reviews are not kidding when they say these babies are LOUD when they get an unsuspecting customer, but I like it, because then I know they're working! Fantastic product, much more effective than the giant Raid brand one we have downstairs! Plus, they are cute. If you're on the fence, just buy them. These are a great product!

Wir haben dieses Gerät wegen einer Fruchtfliegenplage angeschafft. Uns war damals wichtig, dass wir nichts mit Gift verwenden, aber die Fruchtfliegen mussten weg. Das Gerät ist sehr effektiv. In der Nacht glüht es bläulich, wie ein Atomreaktor. Diese Power hat es wahrscheinlich auch, denn es ist laut! Mich stört es nicht, denn dann weiß ich, dass der Killer wieder zugeschlagen hat. Gegen Mücken hilft es natürlich nicht, es ist in der Küche aufgestellt, aber in jeder Hinsicht nützlich gegen Fruchtfliegen. Stellt dieses Ding in eure Küche, vielleicht noch ein oder zwei fleischfressende Pflanzen dazu und ihr werdet keine Probleme haben. Schön ist vor allem, dass das Gerät einen Ein- und Ausschalter hat. Zudem ist es schön designt. Die Schutzstangen verhindern, dass man sich verletzen kann. Für mich muss das Gerät nicht mehr können. Für diese Rezession muss ich die Wasserdichte bewerten. Ich habe das Gerät aber keinem Wasser ausgesetzt und würde es auch nicht empfehlen. Das Gerät war bei mir den kompletten Sommer und Herbst über in Betrieb und hat bisher immer gut funktioniert. Anfangs hatten wir die Befürchtung, dass es für unsere Katze wegen eventueller hoher Töne störend wäre, aber wir haben nichts derartiges bemerkt.

A la media hora de ponerlo, empieza el espectáculo. Pega unos calambrazos que asustan pero vale la pena, oye ni un mosquito mas me picó :) y eso lo valoro mucho ya que me atacaban día/noche y era desesperante. Este aparato no tiene nada que ver con los del bazar ya que tiene mas potencia, lo cual lo recomiendo sin duda. A mi NO me lo han regalado como otros que opinan, lo he comprado por 34,99€ para probar ya que tenía opción de devolución pero he acertado. Espero haber ayudado como usuaria confiable y clienta de Amazon desde 2016. Un saludo a tod@s los que dudan mucho antes de comprar como yo ;)
