This is a really nice sauce. I do like to add a little bit of extra stuff to it sometimes, but it really is great by itself. I make it creamy by adding a little bit of full fat oat milk. I can’t have too much dairy, but that really takes it over the top to add a little extra milk or something creamy and maybe a touch of flour or cornstarch to thicken it up after that. Or if you want a brown gravy, just leave it as is.

NOT a demi glacé. Do not buy. I didn’t even bother heating it up and definitely was not going to ruin my steaks putting this on them. The reviews here are mixed together for all different sauces, so I was cautious not to read too much into some of the reviews because I believed they were for different products. I even looked at the ingredients and being a pretty good cook myself, I know that the ingredients were not out of line and they are all natural which I thought seemed promising. But I can 100% tell you that if you are looking at the Demi glacé, this is not a traditional one and definitely not worth the money. Just smelling it upon opening it I could tell you that it was not going on my steak. There are many visible herbs, and it is not that nice velvety, supple, rich texture of a demi glacé. It is totally overpowering with thyme, garlic and black pepper, and thin and watery. It appears more like soup and smells like it too. Possibly consider if you’re looking for a sauce espanol, definitely not a demi. And I can’t even return it- I’m just out the $13

This sauce turned out amazing. I was a little skeptical at first but after adding some of my own stuff to it because it’s just what I do turn out absolutely amazing and I didn’t notice any gluten sensitivity feelings afterwards and I have full-blown celiac

wasn't horrible. Sort of sour/tangy--more than I am accustomed to with peppercorn sauce. But overall it was quick and easy for a single person eating.

Very pleasant with beef and as a base for gravy for a leg of lamb. Good taste and texture is sturdy enough to stand up to additional ingredients.

This sauce should taste like French Onions, but it has an overwhelming and unpleasant flavor of strong wine. I didn't expect that when I made dinner. I poured it over a cooked dish of ground beef and onions. When we tasted it, we all frowned at the odd flavor which overpowered the taste of the entire recipe. There it is - wine in the ingredients. Darn it, I should have paid more attention before I purchased this product. I will be super sensitive to seeing "wine" as an ingredient in future. The concept of 4 servings of ready-made gravy is nice, but not this one.

This was a nice addition to the steaks I prepared. Saved a lot of time making my own demi-glace. Can't say I was crazy about the taste/texture, but what can you expect from a pouch? It was good, but I wouldn't expect it to come close to the real thing.
