Fans of Harry Potter, or resin crafts will enjoy this collection from Miniverse. Like other Make It series, the contents of each ball is a surprise, and contain one of 12 potions from, or inspired by the Harry Potter Series. We ordered three, and got Hellbore Syrup, Wolfjuice, and Polyjuice potion. Given they're a blind purchase, duplicates are possible. Pretty happy with the results of all three, they're colorful and interesting. Not quite dolls house sized but close. Each set comes with several cute "ingredients" and tools (such as cauldron, spoon etc.) to make your craft. You don't have to use these but it's part of the fun. Also a potion bottle and depending on the craft, other display items. Tips for easy and successful Make it crafting: * Use a UV lamp in the 365nm range. In my experience anything else is unreliable or takes forever. Seems oddly specific but is one of the common features of crafting UV lamps. Doesn't have to be expensive! * When you open the resin "surprise" place it into a warm water bath (sealed). This will make the resin flow more easily and ensure you get as much out as possible. The kits don't give you a lot and sometimes it's stubborn. Especially the thicker mixes. * Take your time! Rushing can make bubbles, and while that may look cool in these potions it's not always desirable * Adding mica powder or mixes to the resin can increase the curing time, be sure it's evenly distributed in the craft otherwise it may not set up at all! * Not really suitable for younger children given the small parts and messy resin, but can enjoy alongside a supervising adult

I got three of these, and fortunately there were no doubles! They were a lot of fun just to set up all the little accessories that really create an atmosphere for making these little potions. The process was simple and easy, but fun. The process got a little messy, but that might just come from my inexperience with resin. I hardened my resin in the sunlight, which worked just fine, but took a little longer than the instructions said. I'd recommend following the little tutorial in the instructions if you don't want the little additives to sink to the bottom of the bottle while curing, though. Overall, I think this is great value for the money, and it was a very fun experience. I glued all the little bottles and the cauldron onto the display along with the finished potion, and it's adorable!

These blind boxes are a fun DIY for both Harry Potter fans and young crafters. My 12-year-old daughter loved making her miniature potion and immediately requested the Potions Class set for Christmas. She's made several Miniverse Make It blind-box collectibles, which was her first foray into resin crafting. The miniature potion bottles, tables, and accessories are impressively detailed and make for charming collectibles. One thing to note is that while the resin hardens under any UV light, the blind "boxes" don't include a UV lamp—she uses the light that comes in the kitchen set. At about $10, it feels worth it, especially compared to other blind box toys where the fun ends after unboxing. With these, the crafting component adds an rewarding activity. Perfect for fans of Harry Potter or enjoy mini crafts, these are a fun way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommended!

I purchased this as part of a gift for a Harry Potter lover. The recipient told me it was fun and she enjoyed this gift.

This is a really fun activity for adults and kids. I do wish though that there were better instructions and labeled bags. The inside bags are just Harry Potter designed bags to hold the components and it is unclear of what bag each step is or what is inside. The resin pot seal is difficult to remove. Also, the drying time is significantly longer than they say even when placed in a sunny window and when there are beads or glitter it often settles to the bottom. So far I have bought several and only gotten one repeat. This would be a reat gift for any Harry Potter fan.

I am a big time miniature collector and I absolutely love all things Harry Potter collectible wise, so when I saw this product I just knew it was up my collectors alley. My kit came with the Wrym Wood potion, I have included 2 images of what my kit looks like displayed on the miniature table + the final potion inside the larger plastic display potion sphere. Product Quality: The product was surprisingly really well put together. When you open your miniverse package you will find a plastic sphere with everything you need to "brew" your miniature HP potion. The plastic sphere doubles as a potion display case to showcase the potion you obtained from 15 total possible potion options. The kit came with a small plastic 2 piece round table you can build to display your cauldron, ingredients, mixing equipment, and the finished brewed potion. Product Assembly: The kit comes with a small foldable pamphlet that serves as the instruction manual, it is entirely illustrative picture based with no written instructions. Everything you need is inside small easily openable baggies. I would highly advise if you are giving this as a gift to a child, you may want to supervise the entire "brewing" process as there are tons of small pieces that can be lost or spilled. In my kit I had left over pink glitter powder and some left over resin, so there is room for potential error. I recommend using a flat surface to make your potion. The instructions manual claims goggles + gloves are needed. I did not personally use either, I think latex gloves would be too clunky when handling the super small petite miniatures in these kits, but to each and their own to consider goggles and or gloves usage. The resin is very sticky, I was able to clean up my table surface by using warm water, a dish rag, and a tiny drop of dish soap. The cauldron that comes with the kit holds the resin on its interior, once you open the cauldron lid there is a 2nd tin foil cover that can be peeled to access the inner resin reservoir. I washed all of the miniature pieces including the cauldron with warm water + dawn dish soap to remove the sticky resin, I recommend doing this if you plan on keeping all the miniature containers for display. Final Verdict: Overall I absolutely loved this product and was genuinely surprised by the quality. Although most of the pieces are plastic, some of the vials / jars are miniature glass with a real miniature cork topper. Even if you use all the material in the containers they make for super cute miniature props for any miniature collector out there. The hardest part of this entire kit was opening the cauldron lid, I was able to open mine by using my finger nail and some force, surprisingly the cauldron is pretty sturdy so I was worried I would damage it if I used too much force. Overall I would highly recommend to any other miniature collector who wants to add some beautiful unique potions / mini props to their doll houses or miniature scenes. It serves as a great Harry Pottery collectors item too!

I absolutely loved these and want a full set; however if you are a parent purchasing this for your child they ABSOLUTELY need supervision the whole time. The resin is messy and can only be removed with rubbing alcohol. It can also be irritating to skin and has a chemical odor. My recommendation is find a flat surface, put down paper towels, put a paper plate on top, wear disposable gloves and other protective gear recommended in the directions, and have rubbing alcohol and extra paper towels handy before crafting. You REALLY NEED the rubbing alcohol if you plan on keeping anything as it will remove any excess sticky resin from your cauldron and bottles (and any surface spilled on). I purchased 3 and received Amortentia, Skele-Gro, and Dragon Blood. They're really cute and I love how all the cauldrons and utensils are different. Great quality and detail. My only complaint is I wish the resin was in a separate bottle rather than the cauldron. It would give you the option to play with the cauldron later without cleaning up the resin inside, which is a difficult job. The aluminum foil seal is also really hard to pull off. I struggled with each one and was only able to completely get one off without resorting to puncturing it. I really hope they make a second series of these. Great for any Harry Potter fan! Definitely buy, but be prepared for a proper clean up and buy rubbing alcohol!

I really enjoy the make it mini food balls, I’ll happily buy one anytime I’m at a store that sells them. Typically I buy the cheaper ones because the more expensive ones don’t seem to add enough value to justify spending a few more dollars. I bought one of these blindly, not looking into before purchasing. I am THRILLED with everything it comes with. There is so much stuff that comes with the potion, even little display bits that don’t necessarily need to be used. For example, there was a little fake wooden crate to hold all the ingredients. The attention to detail is so good. I would have been happy to spend even more money on this, I was blown away by the quality, quantity, and detail of everything in my one ball. Another thing I find a lot in the food make it minis is there isn’t enough resin. I was very happy with how much came in this. Even the ball itself transforms into the most charming little potion jar. I immediately bought 3 more. My only con is that the cauldrons are IMPOSSIBLE to open. I spent forever trying to open it gently so I could save it for decoration, but I ended up warping the plastic with how hard I had to pry it open with a little pick tool.
