500GB 970 EVO M.2 PCI-Express 3.0 Solid State Drive

I play a horrible, wonderful game called ARK: Survival Evolved. It is an entirely unoptimized, hideously buggy ****show. Load times when I had it on an HDD were in the 10+ minute range. This is a game with a goodly amount of files that are unpacked from the getgo because when they were packed, and unpacked on you trying to load into the game like normal games, the game was unplayable due to load time(read: it took literal hours). When I bumped up to a standard SSD that load time got sliced down to about 1 minute. It was a godsend. (Was using the HP S700, btw, a great drive, has a fantastic longevity rating compared to other standard SSDs). I was still on a less equipped machine than I have now, but upgrading the drive alone was an incredible improvement. A dear aunt who works at a pc hardware testing facility got me one of these for my birthday: a 250GB(actual size 233gb) that I ended up sizing up/replacing with this one(It only has ARK on it. It's the most massive game I know of existing. My install is currently 265gb with mods). Load times usually below ten seconds. I could have cried the first time I tried loading in. The performance difference is OUTSTANDING and I cannot recommend one of these vocally enough.

My new HP Desktop PC (core i5 with 12 GB RAM) is much more responsive! My restart (reboot) time went from 62 to 23 seconds, and distracting/annoying delays in response to keyboard and mouse inputs are mostly gone. Samsung also provides great software and support for their products. They provide "Magician" software to update firmware, diagnose and setup your SSD drive once it's installed. You also get data migration software to clone your original (slow) hard drive and transfer the system to your new, fast SSD. I called Samsung support because this was first time I'd installed SSD in a PC, and they were helpful and pleasant. Finally, I would note these Samsung SSD drives have a 5-year warranty.

So I am upgrading from my first PC build that was a sandy bridge i5 and a single 7200rpm drive. I got two of these guys and set them in raid 0. My God the difference this has been. I load all my games faster than I could have imagined. Before, I could go downstairs and get a snack and a drink and still barely come back before it would load. I boot up in less than 20 seconds now. Highly recommend these drives.

It was a long way for me to get there (because I didn't keep up with installing Apple's operating systems - if you have Mac products always update to latest operating system - Mojave, in this case), but this drive is wicked fast, and yes, gets a little hot under heavy workout, but, it isn't intolerable. Don't delay - it really improves an older MBP performance to what you'd buy today.

Very fast but impossible to update using Samsung magic tool. Very strange I tried everything like setup my BIOS but no success.

I purchased this NVMe for installation on a newly purchased Dell G7. The Windows installation was extremely fast (<2 min). For now, my use is for work, but occasionally I play some RTS. The impression so far is of extreme performance, including writes, with very low latency

Super fast and these always impress clients when they see them. Have had 0 issues with any Samsung SSD's since the 840 SATA series.

I recently purchased this drive for my One Year Old Alienware 17 R-4 Laptop which had only a 256gb SSD in it and as you probably already know, if your running Windows 10 you will need a bigger drive after awhile. I installed this New Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 Drive in my laptop as the primary C:\ drive and then "Cloned" my Old SSD drive to the new one. after which I put the old drive away as a complete system Backup just in case. I had absolutely NO Problems installing this new drive. Did Not have to change Anything in my Bio's or any other settings. It installed Very simple and I'm Very Happy with the speed and performance of this drive. SO.. if you looking for a Excellent SSD for your Alienware this is the Drive for you and you cant beat the price.

This Product was DOA. Only I did not know this as I had to wait for 1. The Caddy to test it in my PC as a second SSD. then when that didn't work waited further for 2. an external SSD caddy that didn't work. So I'm stuck with an expensive paper weight.

Can't say enough good things, arrived promptly, worked flawlessly, very fast, injected new life into my desktop, this product is a dream come true, highly recommend. Be cautious with your investment, install a heat sink on it first.

Mi computadora (Dell Inspiron 7567 Gaming) ya traía un m.2 sata instalado, pero de muy poco espacio (128 gigas) por lo que para los programas que necesito como arquitecto necesitaba un ssd con más espacio y por que no, más rápido. Hay una diferencia abismal con un sata, no imagino contra uno mécanico. Eso si, no incluye el tornillo para fijar el disco, pero en mi caso no fue problema porque ya tenía un disco instalado.

I was looking to increase my 2015 Macbook Pro disk space. I first bought a much cheaper (at the time...) XPG SX8200 but that SSD was slower than the original drive and hotter, a LOT hotter. Hot enough that I could use the Macbook on my lap. This Samsung SSD is a LOT cooler, barely warm, and as fast as the original, if not more. Great choice!
