Superb, superb just right, picture and sound quality I can not fault at all, gives a real crystal clear picture, and sound, and features in every operation again I can not fault, so easy to navigate and connect to wifi, adjust and setting so smooth and easy to do, I didn't read the said instructions at all, I thrive on new gadgets and simply followed the instructions on my iphone with ease, clear instructions and every stage to get connect to Wifi and your phone, and onced do so stays connection and strong, connectivity is good (as long as your Wifi is), charging takes a fews hours and to date I charge this camera every 3-4 months, depending on use, excellent long use of the battery power, all in functions can not fault, the alerts received instantly (you can switch this off) I have an SC card and leave it on continuous record (on a loop) when the card gets full it just starts again and overwrites, also easy to backup to PC wipe clear and start again. Installed above my front door and it views the whole of the area of the close, perfect sound and picture. This camera is also 100% weather resistant, Wind, Hale, Snow, Rain and Ice the camera still functioning no problem, it small and compact and light, charge lasts really well, the sensor function lights is not that bright, but bright enough to see the path way, the slightest movement within said camera range, truly picks up, and records (I have it set for 20 seconds), you get your alerts and can take a picture to store, in my mind this is superb security camera and would recommend. We purchased this Tapo camera to compliment our existing Tapo security and home automation devices; I wanted to minimise the amount of apps I’m using for all the various tech in our house and handily all of our Tapo smart plugs and cameras use one very intuitive and simple app. Installation and setup is very good. Quality wall fixings are provided, the plugs arent Fischer quality but are fine for use in mortar or brick and the screws are stainless and shouldn’t rust, no sticky fitting is provided should you not wish to screw the wall to a surface. The camera connected first time to our mesh home network and its signal hasn’t ever stopped despite being positioned past two thick brick walls. The picture quality is very good, however at a distance of over 5 metres away it would be very difficult to make out clear facial detail, when the camera does recognise a human a handy green light on the face of the camera illuminates, the motion detection is also excellent; ours picks up motion up to 8 metres away, please note that the sensitivity is proximity based so I’d recommend setting up zones and notifications based on your preferences so your device isn’t constantly pinging notifications (which drains the battery life faster). We’ve had ours up for around a week with 5-10 notifications a day and the battery is on 89%. I’ve opted to fit a micro SD card rather than purchase Tapo care as the camera isn’t in a location where it’s in danger of theft. If local storage isn’t an option for you bear in mind that Tapo’s cloud storage plan is £24.99 a year per camera. Overall we are very happy with this Tapo product and would purchase another.

Another value for money camera. Needed one for watching my door for parcel theft. Its smart, records only after detecting motion, can set monitoring zones and adjust sensitivity to record only the most important events. For the price I got it for on a Black Friday deals, I'll surely buy a few more. The recording quality in both modes is decent, 2k, or set it to auto if you're using the cloud for storage. I've had it for 2 weeks now and it's on 85% battery despite me spending loads of time connected to it exploring different functionality. I'm sure the battery would last even longer. Highly recommend this if you want a camera that gets the job done without too many gimmicks. Only drawback is you're limited to use TP Link's cloud storage only if you need the cloud, but it's not so bad. The app is easy to use as well. 4 stars for a great camera, lost one star because I'd have loved to be able to save footage to one drive or Google drive.

Recently ordered this to replace another outdoor battery camera & very pleased we did. The camera is good quality & the quality of the recording is impressive. I am particularly impressed with the fact you can change the sensitivity of the motion detection & that feature like human detection are not part of the subscription plan (unlike our last camera). WiFi connectivity appears to work well. The the level of detail when zooming in is good. Already thinking about ordering more!

Great, only problem was when the battery was running out the alarm kept going off and wouldn't turn off. Good quality and price. Pairs well to phone 👌

Well purchased 3 tapo cameras two being wired and this one being wireless for my front of property to watch my cars. After installing a 128g micro SD card connected to app with no problem. Then installed in the position required. Turned off notifications as cars pass alot being a busy street but still wanted motion detection but after a day I had no recordings even though another tapo camera picked up movement..then the picture went from clear to hazy to almost white. With no weather change. Also the battery life was terrible it had no detentions yet within two days the battery had gone from 100% to 65% I understand if motion was busy yet nothing recorded on card and nothing picked up other than when I removed it from the wall....also unable to set personal notifications on app...

Quick delivery and very easy to set up. Good clear images from set up today. Will see how it is overnight tomorrow. Pity I didn't notice I wasn't control change of position via the app prior to setting up, Small price to pay for a half price Black Friday product
