Copper leaf turned up on time in a clear plastic packet in a jiffy bag, all intact. I bought this because it looked like good value for money, which has proved to be the case. Recommended. If you haven't used metal leaf before (as I hadn't), you will need special glue, also known as size. It stays sticky long enough for the leaf to adhere. Believe me, I couldn't find anything else which worked! PVA, varnish, various glues, tried them all. So I recommend you order some size with the leaf, which I didn't! Water based size is fine for craft/indoor use, but you will need oil based size for outdoor. As supplied, copper leaf is shiny. The more you finger it etc, the faster it will tarnish after application. That starts within a few days, so protect the applied leaf with a clear finish. What I'm trying to say here is that metal leaf is a tricky product, and it would be easy to blame the product. But having now copper leafed a whole table and four pictures, I can confirm any problems were due to inexperience, this copper leaf was fine. We ordered a second batch to finish the job and that too was good quality.

First time I've used gold leaf and I love it, it's certainly addictive. I've been making Christmas decorations and applying the gold leaf as a background to my paintings. I use Mod Podge to apply and let the leaf fully dry before removing excess, ive also used PVA which also works fine. If you pull the leaf off and have any gaps you can just relayer, it's extremely forgiving. The sheets come layered in tissue paper and are easy to handle/use.

Perfect and a good price

Lovely gold foil. I bought this to do a first project. I painted some chest of drawers and wanted to edge in gold foil. The foil was easy to use. It did not stick together. I used a light pva glue and then attached small pieces of the foil. Then brushed away the excess when the glue had dried. You get lots of foil and decent size pieces.

Really enjoyed trying this out. Fiddly and thinner than a fat fingered man like me is used to but I did a full bathroom ceiling. Checked a couple of YouTube videos as a first timer. Thankfully we weren’t bothered about a completely uniform grid type finish but a nice random application is nice! Lovely when burnished. Not yet varnished it, as I know it may tarnish. Just hope that doesn’t spoil the finish

Used this for a DIY project for a friend’s wedding and it worked really well! The gold foil looks great and adds a nice touch to decorations. It also sticks well and doesn’t come off easily, which was perfect for what I needed. Really happy with it—would definitely use again!

I use this for my art and it is good, I appreciate that if I spent more the quality would be better but for the volume I use out for this is perfect. As with all gold leaf it is horrendous to use but the effect this gold leaf gives is very good. I have ordered again and would recommend but would also say if you looking for something like the pebeo gedeo gold leaf this is not it, however for that quality, you will of course also be paying a lot higher price.

The leaf is so delicate, would advise using cotton gloves or wooden tweezers when you need to handle it. But once you've gotten it adhered down to your surface, and stippled permanently into place, my god it looks good!! Very happy with this, the gold is very lustrous.
