Very easy install, BTW, I have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and the part fits perfectly even though the amazonconfirmedfit says it does not, Amazon needs to update their information.

Fairly easy to install , just had to drop the spare tire on the ground . Press the lock in place , and install key onto crank.

Easy to install. Fit on my 2020 Tacoma. Does what it is supposed to do. Recommended !

This product is fine for what it is but not really needed. Construction seems good and it took me about 15 minutes to install, including dropping the spare and hoisting it back up again. All you have to do is press it into place. Turns out my 2017 Tacoma spare can be locked to the spare tire carrier. The part of the carrier, which supports the spare from the bottom has a little nub that gets inserted into one of the holes in the wheel. This nub has a hole in it for you to insert a padlock and secure your spare. There are a couple benefits to this approach: 1) A padlock makes hoisting a wheel back up under the frame much easier because it keeps everything in place while you crank it up. 2) A key to a small padlock is much easier to carry and hide than the key that is included with this product. There are also a couple of drawbacks: 1) A padlock is slightly less secure because if someone wanted to, they could just lower your spare and cut the padlock or chain with some bolt cutters. However, this might not be a big deal because it would take a pretty determined thief and everyone knows most thieves are lazy. If they weren't lazy, the would be out there working a 9-5 or in school like the rest of us, instead of stealing spare tires. 2) If you dont buy the right padlock, it could freeze up after being exposed to water, dirt, salt, and extreme temperatures over an extended period of time. Make sure to pick a lock that is made for outdoor or marine use.

I called the dealer and they said part PT276-34071 would fit my 2024 1794 Toyota Tundra. The Amazon site said it wouldn't fit and several web site searches said the same. I bought it anyway and it did fit perfectly. The parts click onto the factory jack and hoist socket attached to the truck with no problem. It was a 5 minute install, tops. As presented, this is a Toyota OEM part.
