On the Providence of God

A teacher and a guide...
Should be read and used more often, but Chrysostom seems lost in all our modern neglect. In his time, and even for ours, he poses questions and provides perspective and answers to push and prod us out of our complacency. He asks, "And what about Noah? What priests did he have? What teacher? What guide?" He challenges us, who have the Bible and teachers, guides, and more at our disposal, yet do not truly "hear" the Word and more rarely look at its virtues and models for us. It is a clear and carefully organized book, with relative short but intense chapters. Chrysostom desired we find the way. He will challenge the modern churches and beliefs therein. For that reason alone, to challenge and try your faith and beliefs, to make you stronger and wiser, you should read it.

This book is amazing. Timeless wisdom that makes it clear that it is not ours to ask why, but to trust God in all things.
