FLOATEA Floating Tea Infuser

After mistakenly buying a box of loose leaf Darjeeling tea rather than the tea bags (not fair putting them in same colour coded boxes for those of us with bad eyesight!) I was wondering how best to use it up. I was given a teapot with infuser but I had to fill it with water to reach the infuser bit so was wasting a couple of cups-worth (I don't like it when it's been sitting there) every time I had a drink. Then I saw this... it's perfect for what I need, only using single cups so no waste. Easy to use and keep clean. I paid around £7 for it but afterwards it went up to about £12 - this, I feel, is too much but for the price I paid I'm happy.

Very practical infuser when just one cup is needed. I much prefer leaf tea over teabags. This really cuts down the mess over using a teapot. I originally saw this is a shop in Brugges however they did not have the colour I wanted. Very easy to use It reminds me of a buoy bobbing up snd down. Good design easy to use and clean.

I have the red one of these and purchased a grey one for my daughter, I should have probably got her the red one too. What I like about this infuser is that it floats and once you finished brewing you can put it on its base so no dripping or no afterthought that you have nowhere to put the dripping infuser but, going back to colours they really need to use a better quality plastic that would shine through the colours

This is a fantastic item. Very fine loose leaf tea will probably not work, but the holes are really not that big. I have never had a problem with any of my selection of chinese teas. I work in different locations all the item, but my work is desk-based. This has enabled me to take my chinese tea to work. I normally have about two or three cups of tea, and a good quality tea should take two or three steeps, so I fill this up at home at the start of the day and I am good for the whole day! No mess thanks to the holder, and after several months intermittent use this is holding together nicely. No warping, no bits falling off. I am really happy with this product.

This is a lovely wee gadget to use.... Makes the perfect cup of tea with your favourite loose leaves. A spoonful inside and fill your cup with boiling water and the tea holder floats in the water while the tea brews. Leave the tea holder in the little stand to drain and the leaves inside can be disposed of easily. Well designed, compact and easy to use.... perfect little product...

I bought 2 of these in Berlin over a decade ago (identical, same brand) - they are amazing and I love them. I was excited to find them on Amazon and ordered a third one in June. It started well, but then kept coming apart in the cup, releasing all the tea leaves. I have just ordered another, hoping it the defect was a one off - it has arrived and is clearly the same. The egg does not fit securely to the holder and will soon just drop off. Great concept and product - unfortunately, they seem to have changed something and now it is not fit for purpose.

This is a great idea, and I love the design ... apart from the fact that it doesn't fit together very well. You snap the tea strainer onto the plastic holder, but it isn't very secure, and I don't see it lasting very long. A push and twist lock, or screw in would be preferable

easy to use and is lasting very well after years of us.

Nachdem ich verschiedene Tee-Eier in meiner Auswahlliste hatte, habe ich mich schließlich für dieses von Adhoc entschieden - und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Ei hält was es verspricht: Es schwimmt in der Tasse, sodass man es ohne Probleme nach einiger Zeit aus der Tasse entfernen kann und es hat (zumindest für meine Tees) eine perfekte Lochgröße, sodass nachher keine Teereste in der Tasse treiben. Darüber hinaus ist es sehr leicht zu reinigen, da das Sieb auf der Innenseite eine besondere Beschichtung zu haben scheint und man sehr gut mit einem Lappen rein kommt. Der Zusatz eines zugleich enthalten Abtropf-Behälters, der ebenfalls schick daher kommt, macht dieses Tee-Ei für mich zur ersten Wahl. Top!

Was looking forward to receiving this but it arrived smashed and broken. this IS PLASTIC -i thought it was silicone, but no HARD PLASTIC. putting hard plastic into hot water -is that safe? Is it BPA free?? All of this not stated befoer I bought this. This wasn't cheap so I expected much much more. Sending this back for a full refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS on several levels.

J'adore cette boule à thé ! J'en avais déjà une et en voulais une seconde pour alterner ! Facile à remplir, la boule flottante est pratique pour les grands mugs... ... Super !

Elle est verte, elle flotte, elle tiens bien le thé, il y a même un petit support pour pas mettre des gouttes de partout une fois qu'on a fini de faire infuser. Elle se nettoie facilement (juste un coup de papier et hop plus de trace et on est repartis pour un tour). Bref pas de défaut pour moi pour le moment. Elle laisse, certes, passé les innombrables petits morceau de thé. Ces espèces de poussières désagréables. Mais bon, toute les boules à thé le font donc je ne retiens pas ça comme un désavantage...
