A true upgrade.

I live on a narrowboat and depend on something to charge my domestic batteries in winter. This replaced my previous Renogy DC-DC which had served me well, despite being a rebranded unit and wildly inefficient.This one is so much easier to install, with the voltage sensing functionality and appears to be far more efficient, drawing less power to charge more effectively. Easy to set up wit the one button function.My only frustration is the same as most Renogy products, the Bluetooth is a separate purchase.

charger can be dangerous so be aware, worked for a couple of weeks in the camper, noticed camper battery was getting flat so done a bit investigation found that the DC charger was not switching off when the ignition was off. Flattened the camper battery and overcharged the leisure battery, luckily i noticed it in time otherwise it would have exploded the leisure battery with overcharging. Might be a one faulty DC charger recommend you keep an eye on it if you are installing one, make sure it is switching off

Dc to dc charger

Lost points on instructions. But dose a really good job of charging the liesure batteries. Can't just connect negative to anywhere. I need to run in another negative. Cable to front of van is picks up a feed from itself and keeps charging, until turned off then starts again as soon as van started. Not great at wire sizing. As information hard to find. I just used 16mm cable a bit of over kill.

Great bit of kit.

Arrived quickly and works great. Make sure to use mega or nano fuses as the resettable one I first tried led me to think the charger was faulty as it was only allowing 3.5amps through it. Bypassed the fuse and it was then working perfectly at outputting the full 60amps.
