BYRD Classic Pomade 2-Pack – Strong Hold, High Shine Finish, Add Flexible Texture to All Hair Types, 3.35 Oz Each (Two Pack)

Maybe it's a bit early for me to be rating this product 5 stars, but with every other hair product I've used, I know whether I like or dislike something about it within a few days; at this point in time, I can definitely say this is the best pomade I've used to date. I have tried at least 5 other brands, all water-based, some of which were medium hold and some strong hold. This claims to be a medium hold product but held up better throughout the day than Imperial's strong hold pomade. I was exposed to heat, humidity, and cold all in one day. None of the other stuff I've used has ever come out looking the way Byrd did by the end of the day. Every brand has their own scent added to their product, and this one is, again, the best in that regard. It is very subtle and unique, and you won't smell it unless you're up close. A plus in my opinion, as every other product I've used, was perceptible from a distance, like cologne. The finish is definitely matte as the packaging suggests. The finish a hair product leaves in my hair is something I'm very picky about. Despite claiming to be low shine, Imperial's pomade left my hair looking clumpy and wet like a gel. Byrd's pomade looks very natural, almost like you aren't using any product at all. I've also used Suavecito's matte product. Byrd's pomade is much easier to work through your hair and seems to have a much stronger hold. This is a great product so far. I haven't found anything to dislike about it so far. If I do, I'll update the review.

I couldn't be more delighted with my recent purchase of this clay pomade for my 9-year-old son. He's quite attached to his long, thick, and coarse hair (check out the image to see what I mean), and we've been on a quest to find a product that could make it more manageable and keep it out of his face. After trying out several products, I can confidently say that this one has stolen the show as our absolute favorite. The texture is wonderfully smooth, and there's no unpleasant sticky feeling to deal with. We were hoping it would do a good job of keeping his hair in place, and it does exactly that - no more hair in his eyes! What's even better is the creative potential this pomade unlocks. My son and I had a blast experimenting with different hairstyles, and we were amazed at how easy it was to achieve the looks we wanted while keeping his hair neatly in check. Finding the right product for thick and coarse hair can be quite the challenge, but this one was a delightful surprise. It's cool, it works like a charm, and we're both absolutely hooked. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I've become a regular customer now. This pomade has definitely earned a permanent spot in our hair care routine!

Like many other reviewers have emphasized, this pomade has a few key attributes: -fresh, masculine smell (non-irritating) -medium to strong hold (textured hold - not plastered by any means) -Washes Out (my biggest gripe of Byrd classic pomade was the fact it is oil based and took multiple washes to rid the greasiness) -Quantity of product for price point is reasonable (jar is deep) NOTE - as another reviewer recommended, buy the larger size as opposed to travel oz. I tried this product a while back but had issues with product clumping/dryness. Larger tin is much more moist and whips out with ease.

I've been cutting hair since the 70's in NYC and owned salons in SOCAL Byrd products are a cult niche hair product that you don't see everywhere. The matte pomade works very well use a little and work it it your hands rakes in your for a real matte feel and it looks even better after a couple hours without adding water just run your fingers thru your hair to freshen it up.

Bought this for my partner as a nontoxic option and it works great, looks great! He loves it. No synthetic fragrances.

Love this stuff, its perfect in the summer. You can reshape your hair, and it will hold for a good amount of time.

The best pomade - the matte version is also spectacular

product is good. I've bought these several times but this time the product was less pliable and harder to apply. hopefully it's a one-off

Esta es mi pomada favorita. La volveré a comprar sin duda! Su textura es muy buena, deja firme el pelo pero a la vez moldeable, lo puedes volver a peinar, o moldear con tus manos, tengo el pelo de unos 10 cm de largo y me sirve perfecto. Su olor es como a un talco para bebé pero muy leve y la verdad huele muy rico, no es el típico olor a naranja o gel de bajo presupuesto, huele rico y es leve. La textura es suave y una vez aplicada te deja el cabello firme. Soy de informarme bien antes de comprar las cosas y esta me gustó su fórmula y su historia, vale la pena si quieres tener el pelo firme sin que pierda forma en el día y si lo quieres re moldear.

Great product but not natural. Do not buy if you care about your health I want to keep a clean, healthy lifestyle.

Bonne tenue et retrait facile

Ich bin schon seit langem auf der Suche nach einer ordentlichen Pomade die meinen sehr trockenen und dicken Haaren guten Halt bietet. Ich habe das Produkt beim Barber in Toronto, Kanada kennengelernt und bin froh, dass ich es via Amazon auch in Deutschland beziehen kann. Die Pomade ist auf Wasserbasis und lässt sich entsprechend leicht auswaschen und bietet nicht dieses klebrige Gefühl wie bei richtigem Haarwachs. Trotzdem hat sie genug halt für meine strohigen Haare und trocknet die Haare dabei nicht so sehr aus wie bspw. Haargel.
