Great camera
Camera works well! I have it set up on a chicken coop to see what’s happening throughout the day. Nice clear image. The night vision is very good. It’s great to be able to listen to what’s happening as well as see it. Ordering a second one to pair with this. The solar panel is nice as it keeps it well charged and have not had any issues even on cloudy days.

Great Riolink Camera.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I really like Riolink cameras and this one was no exception. It has a great ability to focus both very close and at a distance. This one was installed out by our chicken coop and we have the ability to check on our hens and to see if any predators are trying to enter their run so we can reinforce it before they manage to get through. This is my first Riolink with a pan and tilt setting and I am sold. The battery life has been fine for our use of checking the camera and playback from the SD card occasionally. If you want the camera image open all day on your screen, you will likely drain the battery faster than it can recharge. Many camera brands require a subscription to see your recorded images. With an SD card installed, you can check playback images at any time from anywhere on your phone with no subscription needed. It has a lot of settings that I do not use, but for our purposes, I like the ability to set a record timer so it will record predator movement at night when they are in the coop but will not record every chicken movement throughout the day.

Can't Go Wrong
I'm reviewing the Black, ReoLink 2k security Camera (Wireless, Outdoor, PTZ, Solar). Up until now we've only had experience with indoor cameras (mainly for watching the kids, but also for security purposes). Most cameras I've worked with only work on 2.4GHz so the fact this worked with 2.4 & 5GHz was kind of cool. During my research I was actually searching for a cheaper option; most indoor cameras are $50 or so and $160 was more than I'd planned on spending. However, every review (outside Amazon) pointed to Reolink being the best option for people who don't want to pay monthly subscription fees. So, I decided on this.I'm glad I did. The setup was difficult- not because of Reolink but because of where I wanted the camera placed. I may or may not have almost fallen off the roof, but no matter, installation was successful and setup of the Reolink outdoor camera/the solar panel was a breeze. Setup with wifi/the app the night before will be easy for anyone who's setup wifi with a smart device/light bulb etc before. There is a cool feature that tracks how much footage (live and recorded) has been viewed to show where the battery usage is going. I've viewed a total of 10 minutes of live footage and the battery is still at 100%. The solar panel really does it's job, because any other new wireless camera (even our doorbell camera) would be down to at least 90% after that much live viewing time. Kudos to the power of the solar panel. It works. The camera quality is the best I've seen on any of my cameras. The colors are extremely clear and, if you don't want color, then you can change it to black and white mode. I wish I had added a screenshot of the camera during the day, because any night footage will be blurier than day footage. Don't let it fool you- the image is very clear. The motion sensing seems to be accurate. I haven't had it long enough to give this category the best review, but my neighbor walked across the street to check their mail and the camera was able to distinguish it from a car. So I'd say that's a good thing since I'd turned off the vehicle notifications.Keep in mind the camera has only been setup for 1 full day and 1 full night, so this isn't a review after having it for months. However, I'll follow up in 6 months with a more accurate review. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the price dropped $30 the day after we received it :( buy it now while it's $130. Incredible deal. I gave this product 4 stars since it did not come with a MicroSD card (they're so cheap nowadays, not sure why they wouldn't include even a low GB one). Every company/product has something to upsell and Reolink is no different.***Friendly reminder, insert the formatted SD Card BEFORE placing the camera so that you don't have to get on the roof again hours later to install it. This didn't stop me from getting motion notifications, but did prevent me from seeing the Playbacks. So, don't forget!******3 month update. No changes to the above review. Very good camera. I’ve yet to see the battery drop below 100% (even through snow & cloudy days). Purchasing another for the backyard.

Great quality video and pictures
These outdoor solar powered wireless security cameras are Great. These cameras are a bit different when it comes to some of the other solar powered wireless security cameras as they will work on both wireless networks of 2.4 and 5GHZ wireless bands which helps a lot with the triggers and distance if you have them a little bit away from your router. They get really good picture quality video quality is phenomenal, has great motion detection night vision is really Great. Once they are charged up and then mounted the solar panel keeps them charged real well. The other security cameras that I have dropped about 3% one time during a really bad storm as it was really dark, then these did not drop any battery percentage they stated 100% at all times during the day when the storm was going and the sun wasn't out as well as at night time when it was extremely dark as the storm was passing on. I have them mounted at a pretty decent distance from my router as my house is fairly old there's only one Network location in my home and it is in my bedroom which is in the back of the house these cameras are all the way in the front and they are constantly getting 100% wireless connection. They are tried and true weatherproofed we had a pretty good snowstorm / ice storm not long after I got them where we got about 8 in of snow and about 2 inches of ice. They have some really good settings for the motion you can block out areas that you do not want the motion to trigger a recording, you can rotate the cameras however you want them to get some really good angles anywhere you need them in your yard or wherever you decide to mount them. Good night vision is really good, they have people and animal detection you can set it to where they will not trigger false recordings if you have children that play in the backyard and the cameras are there or a dog that you don't want to trigger a false event as well, among several other settings which are great. I use SD cards in the cameras that I have they will take up to a 128 GB SD card. Or you can use their cloud service of course you have to pay extra for so I opted out of that. It can rewrite over the SD cards once they get full. Or you can format them yourselves directly from the app for The cameras.
