Amazing Battery charger
I always used to buy regular batteries but after switching to this it is a lifesaver. I have a lot of lights in my home which work on batteries and this just saved me from throwing a lot of batteries to waste.Pros:1. Charges battery fast, as 2 batteries will charge in 30 minutes or so2. Got 2 USB ports which come in handy when charging things like AirPods, a rechargeable lint remover, etc which come with just a USB cable3. Budget-friendly4. Easy to use5. Supports both AA and AAA batteries6. No need for batteries to be kept in an order or combination, convenient7. No issues if you keep the battery in charger after it is charged, tension-freeCons:1. Charging many batteries at once will make it slow. Example: Charging 10 batteries at once could take approximately 3 hours to completeTip:If you have multiple lights with batteries, then instead of charging them together do them separately so it takes only 30 minutes to charge. Keep maybe 2 to 3 batteries extra so you don't have to wait for the batteries to get charged.

Great value battery charger.
Excellent value for money charger plus 8 high capacity AA batteries. Only used once, but seems to charge fairly quickly . The batteries are very slightly bigger than normal so may not fit every device.

Great and Handy
I’ve got this for my kids as they used non charging batteries for their gadgets. I spent too much money on this now problem has solved.

Comes with nicely packed batteries in reusable cases holding 4 batteries each
The media could not be loaded. We bought 2 chargers with 8 battery each, plus 16 separate batteries to cut down on battery waste from our house. We have 6 Xbox controllers that seem to consume about 30 throw away batteries every month. Lets hope this helps, but it all depends on the kids bothering to charge up the dead ones.Reasonably small form factor battery charger. Doesn't get too hot during operation. Neat 2 pin mains socket on the side. Comes complete with mains cable fitted with UK 13A plug. Shame it doesn't have any way to wall mount.Batteries fit snugly into the charger and don't fall out even if the charger is inverted. The first charge took around 12 hours, so the batteries must have been part charged on delivery. The instructions say max output to batteries is 720mA, so to charge 8x 2800mAh batteries it will take at least 31 hours.*UPDATE* yes it does take a long time to charge up 8 dead batteries, but on the bright side they are not charged quickly so their life will be extended. This is definitely not a fast charger! The batteries seem to be of good build quality, and are quite heavy, indicating that they could indeed be high capacity. I will test this and update the review.Charger instructions say it will charge Ni-MH and Ni-CD batteries. Input Voltage 100-240V AC 0.4Amax 50Hz/60Hz. They also state Battery charging rate >= 80% ( I think this means that 80% of the power consumed by the charger goes into the battery but I could be wrong!)When the initial charging cycle is started the LED's above each pair of batteries goes orange. Towards the end of the cycle you see a yellowy green LED, and then when fully charged this goes to green. You have to charge batteries in pairs.*UPDATE* since purchasing the 2x chargers and 32x batteries i have bought another 16 batteries to cover us for Xmas. They are all working well, and the only problem is the qty we seem to loose!

Works exactly as expected
This is an excellent product which works really well. It is simple to use and charges the 8 batteries fully and quickly. The LED lights show orange for charging and green for fully charged, and that's it. Although the batteries have to be charged in pairs, it will charge either 2, 4. 6 or 8 at a time. Not being able to charge a single battery is not a problem for me as I use 8 batteries at a time in a camera trap. The two USB ports also work well, I've charged an iPad, GPS unit, GoPro batteries and a mobile phone without any difficulty. One tiny quibble - the + positive signs on the casing are so small that, at the age of 78, I find it difficult to read them – this is likely my problem rather than the product's. Would I buy it again? Yes!

EBL 8 battery charger
This charger is very convenient to use, charges 8 batteries in one go and charges them rapidly. However during first use, one AA battery fully charged but the charger failed to reduce the charge to a trickle as is intended. As a consequence the battery expanded and the section of the charger holding the battery overheated, causing the plastic base of the charging segment to heat and buckle. The charger light for that segment is now permanently flashing and presumably faulty. Clearly the circuit intended to detect a faulty battery (I assume that is the basic cause) failed to work and allowed the full charge to continue.Whilst the rapid charging is an advantage it may damage batteries. I will be wary of purchasing a rapid charger in future.EDIT: Following the above review EBL contacted me and have offered a full refund. 5* for their customer awareness. In view of this I will continue to purchase from EBL - nice to have suppliers support their products.
