how well does this work on inside/outside shower corner joints?  Will it easily bed into a 90 /180 degree angle?

Yes. I just used this when waterproofing a shower using Redguard. I first used mesh tape and mortar on all joints and corners ( inside and out). Then used Redguard on all surfaces, with the membrane fabric embedded in all joints and corners. The fabric folds easily around outside and inside corners.

Question 2

Can I use this on a previously cracked concrete floor (over which I will pour leveler) before laying down tile to prevent cracking from movement?

Thank you for sending an inquiry. Yes, indeed! You can use the XFasten Fiberglass Waterproofing Membrane Fabric sheet to prevent the concrete crack from affecting the tile after installation. This Waterproofing Membrane Sheet not only prevents moisture and mold from seeping through, but its optimal thickness can also provide some form of shock absorption to your floor.

Although your is a new and improvised use-case, we are sure that the Fiberglass Waterproofing sheet will be great for your application. However, please note that this is a non-adhesive tape. To make it adhere completely to a surface, you would need to apply a waterproofing liquid membrane to it. However, if you just want a fiberglass sheet that can take care of the crack on the concrete floor and has a pre-applied adhesive, then we would recommend our Drywall Repair Tape. They are made of fiberglass mesh and will also work perfectly in preventing the cracked concrete floor from affecting the newly installed tile.

Do you put this on with thin set or can you use redgaurd to adhere it??

Our tape is compatible with all leading and known waterproofing membranes. Is this product Adhesive backed??

As is with all other membrane fabric tapes, the XFasten Fiberglass Waterproofing Membrane has no adhesive in it. It is meant to be used with a substrate for waterproofing.
