Works great to get those yucky eye crusty’s out. I wish I would have found this sooner. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally poked my dog in the eye. The worst is when those bristles from the dog brush poke you under your fingernail. Ouch!! This tool is a life-saver, for sure!!

Years ago, my Yorkie's groomer gave me a small, L-shaped, plastic comb to clean around his eyes. Since it came from the groomer, I assumed it was "state of the art" in terms of the design of these things.But my little guy's eye discharge has worsened with age, and it was becoming very difficult to remove, especially if I missed a day. You could tell the comb I was using was very uncomfortable for him, and it wasn't even terribly effective as there was always stuff left deep in the inner corners that I could only coax out with repeated applications of a warm, wet cloth to the area and lots of (inflammatory) wiping.When I saw this comb with its curved shape and realized the ends of the tines were blunted so as not to be too sharp, I thought it might be a vast improvement. Boy, was it ever!My dog no longer jerks away and tries to hide when it's eye-cleaning time and sometimes even seems to (gulp) enjoy the process! After a week, my technique has improved to the point that I am able to remove ALL crud with very little resistance from the subject.I keep the comb with my Yorkie's "travel bag" (LOL, I take him virtually everywhere with me and like to have his essentials handy at all times.) So I'll be buying another of these to keep in the tub for bath-time convenience. Great product!

Does the job well. After applying a warm washcloth to the eye area, use the comb and the eye boogers come out easily. The design/shape allows the comb to fit nicely into the eye area.

I originally bought this comb to help clean the area the around the eyes of my 2 shih tzus. It does it a great job. I’ve since used it to clear small pieces of debris around the mouth area, in between toes and other areas that a normal metal grooming comb misses. The comb is very well made (good grip area, teeth are very sturdy, smooth to the touch, and the end of each tooth is rounded - no snags and won’t cut/scratch the skin). The graduated length of the teeth on the outer sides makes it very safe to use it around eyes, noses, lips…. In my opinion it is worth the price. Easy to clean, run it under hot water and use a tooth brush to clean between the teeth, when needed

Works great for the gook around the eyes. Dog eats wet food so I also use right after eating to just get food out his hair.

My white bichon needs to have his eyes cleared every couple of days and this makes it so much easier rather than me getting in his face
