I love it , I like to make soups for winter and use chicken we raise . the bean rice mix is perfect

This is my 2nd time ordering these beans and they are great. My 32 bean soup taste great with the perfect seasonings.

This is great soup and stores well in your pantry for months and months. There are four packs and each pack makes a ton of soup; 1/2 cup of soup mix to 4 cups of water ratio. We add other fresh veggies, bay leaf and some pepper and it comes out great. Highly recommend!

It's nice to have food supplies that can be made for 1 person or a large gathering. I've done it both ways already and both times in slow cookers. 7 to 8 hours on low made an enjoyable texture and savory soup. I also used vegan ham and beef broth to add some seasoning. The beef was strictly better because of the very nutty barley and the earthy wild rice.

This was a staple in my kitchen for over a decade. I would buy it in bulk and love the taste. But the last batch (30 lbs) I bought seems to have been a different formulation. There is a ground yellow dust throughout--possible ground yellow lentils--and made a much darker broth. It still tastes good, but I had a severe reaction. My lips and tongue were swollen for over 12 hours. I will have to give it to someone who can eat it. Whatever I was allergic to is probably not their fault, but be aware their formulation does seem to change. This batch was visibly different. So to be safe, it might be best to buy it small batches.

Added fire roasted tomatoes, seasoning & left over meat. Will order again!

I sent 2 packs of mix as Minnesota Christmas gifts to South Carolina relatives. One is in my cupboard, and the other I made up into a big pot of Turkey Wild Rice Cream soup by adding milk and turkey--yum! We ate some of it right away and saved the rest in the freezer for meals with holiday houseguests. The combination of vegetables in the mix makes for a colorful and healthy soup that's perfect for a warm meal in a cold Minnesota evening.

This is an excellent mix. We have yet to use it as a straight soup mix but have used it in many other dishes to help fill them out.
