Perfect for 1950’s day!
I got this outfit for my daughter’s 1950’s day at school during spirit week! It was perfect. I got a Medium and she normally wears a size 8. It fit great. I poked a small hole on each side of the hat to slide a Bobby pin through for it to stay on top of her head. Everyone loved her outfit at school!

This was the most perfect outfit for my 6 year old daughters sop hop ...
This was the most perfect outfit for my 6 year old daughters sop hop dance with her father. We added a little serving tray and my daughter also wore roller skates. My husband went as a greaser in jeans and a white tshirt (he even put some fake cigs in his sleeve) All of the other girls wore poodle skirts. When everyone saw my daughter they were amazed and couldn't stop talking about her outfit. Everyone wanted to take pictures with her. They had so much fun at the sop hop. My daughter is 6 and we got the medium size (6-8) which fit nicely. The hat is a little flimsy and thin. You need to use bobby pins to get it to stay on. But that's ok! The whole thing put together is just amazing. So be different. If its a 50's dance--go as a carhop.

Not too "costumey"
Such a cute outfit! And pretty good quality....not too "costumey" (yep, that's a word now). My only complaint is that the poodles started to come off of the socks. I assume they are iron on. I used a dab of hot glue to keep them on, and it worked fine.....fine enough for a costume that'll be worn twice.

Cute
This outfit turned out to be awesome. She normally wears size 7/8 and this fit perfect. The hat was difficult to work with so I had to iron the heck out of it to get the wrinkles out and cut a round piece of cardboard out to make the shape stay. To get it to stay on her head I sewed two loops onto the hat across from each other and used bobby pins and clips to secure it to her head. The top half is thin and somewhat sheer so she did need to wear a black tank top under it. I also assumed this outfit would require a petit coat but to my surprise it had the perfect amount of puffyness and ooked better without it.. Overall, it was well worth the price.

Buyer Beware!
This costume was supposed to be new. It came missing the hat, in a dirty bag, with a freaking Superman costume card in it!! And you could see the costume card for the costume was torn. Looking at the dress it looked great, there were a few specs on it. But clearly this was NOT a new costume. I was very disappointed & returned it.

I purchased a M 8-10 and it fits great. I added one of her dance tutu's underneath ...
Very Cute Costume! My 8 year old LOVES it so much. I was a little worried about the size. I purchased a M 8-10 and it fits great. I added one of her dance tutu's underneath for extra fluff. I read some moms complain about the wrinkles, quick tip: get a white washcloth or hand towel lay it on the blue skirt with the tutu part to on top (sounds confusing) and steam with iron (pressing the steam button). Using this method your iron can remain on cotton. Do not place the iron directly on the costume, apply the heat to the rag, it does the trick.

Arrived Dirty
My daughter loved the costume when she first saw it. She wanted to put it on but I found out it was dirty . There was chocolate milk color stain behind the collar. Other than that it was ok costume for only one time wear. I will send it back for exchange.
