Reolink 4K/8MP 4G Camera, Solar-powered Security Camera Outdoor with Colour N...

I bought this Reolink 3G/4G LTE Pan Tilt Solar Security Camera to go in a wooded area that has no electricity. In fairness, I wasn't expecting too much from the camera, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The Installation of the SIM card was extremely easy. I purchased a 'Three' SIM card, as Three has the best reception in our area. It was simple to activate (I simply popped it in and it just found the signal, so it couldn't be any easier than that!), and place in the camera. The app is easy to operate once I downloaded it from the apple store for free. It's functionality is excellent. I tested it indoors first (I didn't want to put it up a height, then find out it doesn't work), and it even picked a strong signal there. Installation: I installed the camera on the main trunk of a Sycamore tree about 10ft off the ground. I then installed the Solar panel about a further 10ft up the tree facing south, at an angle. Functionality: The pan-tilt works good, and the email alerts are excellent (Mainly from wildlife in our case!), all controlled from the app. The speaker function is quite handy, if you need to get the attention of someone. Battery life: The PTZ camera is using approximately 3% battery life per day (this is allowing it to work on it's own with the alerts, rathe than viewing it all the time), but when the Sun shines (I installed it in November, and we live up North, so not much Sun at present!) it does put that amount back in. I would recommend fully charging the camera using the lead provided before installation - I used an iPhone charging plug and the lead supplied. Picture quality: In daylight the picture quality is extremely good, and we can see a great deal of distance with good clarity. The zoom function works well too. At night, I would estimate that we can see about 20m in complete darkness, which isn't too bad at all. Certainly good enough for what we need. Negatives: Only a couple of small points - The bracket that holds the camera was plastic, which was really strange, as everything else was of exceptional quality. For example, the bracket that holds the solar panel is a heavy duty steel item, but the one that holds the camera (which is substantially heavier), was moulded plastic. In my view the manufacturer needs to upgrade this part of it, as I'm not sure how it will cope over time (Particularly if our pesky squirrels keep hanging around it!). The second thing is the colour - White. That might be fine for some installations, but if you are wanting it to blend in a little (particularly in a wood as we did) then an option of a Black one, with a Black solar panel and cable would have been far better. Overall, I've been very impressed with this camera, and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Works great i have many reolink cams so used to their quirks ! Sometimes not connecting go out of app then try again . Clear cache . We put ee 120gb sim in from amazon set up no problems. There is a 32 gb memory card and sim supplied but used other one. Been using 3 days after charging before setting up. Noticed charge going down and in app wasn’t getting symbol showing charging . Checked on camera i didnt push lead in properly so all working ok has charged today up to 85%and not that sunny! Gave 4 star due to occasional not connected in app. But visual and control is amazing! 2 months in and 100% charge still and only used 4 gb of 120gb . Really happy with camera.

It's a great camera with a great image and PIR sensor that works. Got a Vodafone V-SIM to go with it (IoT supporting SIM) with £4/month fee that you can cancel anytime (there is no contract as such. One SIM needed per camera). You can share the camera/set of multiple cameras with multiple users that download the App and you can view all of your cameras at once. The App is intuitive and works well. So far so good. BUT, there is a big BUT. Last night we got broken into (late in the night). One of the camera alerted us 23x, but we didn't hear a thing, as the App alert sound is too weak and there is no way to increase the volume. The thieves stole the camera and the SD card with it with all the evidence. There is no way for us now to connect to it now and playback what happened. So all in all, it is merely a feeble deterrent for some burglars, but it won't stop the ones that know the weaknesses of this camera and in the middle of the night, it is very unlikely that you will hear the alerts.. even if you are a poor sleeper. One other downside is that the solar panel may not be enough to keep your cameras charged during the winter, especially if your property is north-facing like ours. We ended up having to take the cameras on and off every few days to charge them via cable.

1 Year review. Purchased June 2024. Good: - Camera quality is as expected. - Picture quality great -All functions still work after 2 years. No maintenance. - Mobile access costs £80 or so a year. 2 changes. - no water has entered the Seals after 2 winters no corrosion visible. Bad: -Camera refuses to work in winter. Shorter days cause the battery to die 2 weeks into November. Due to the charge deficit. Unless you recharge to 100% every 2 all winter weeks the camera will not function Coming to a February. The camera is starting to come alive for 1-2 hours a day. So long as there are no alerts - motion picture is not very good during the night. It will capture walking pedestrians. Anything faster than that at low light is a blur/shadow. Will detect and record cars with lights on.

I use the camera for remote security at a site very distant from power or internet, so the Go PT is ideal. I've written a review before but thought 6 months of experience would be worth noting. What really impresses me is the tiny solar panel has been able to keep the camera near maximum charge all over the UK winter (November 20 till end of April 21 and still going strong). The Vodaphone link at 4 quid a month is a great deal and it works very well after a doddle of a setup. Just occasionally it slows or fails to link for a short while and this seems to be during times you would expect the mobile network to be very busy so no big surprise. All in, a great camera, superb colour balance, bright and wide spread IR night vision and reliably trips and notifies from everything from a squirrel upwards (6-8m or so). I use it on the higher resolution. Very few false pings when set at a little below maximum sensitivity. Customer service continues to be great following some recent queries, lovely polite messages and they actually answer you personally and don't just dole out standard lines. Note, the SD card auto-overwrites when full which is great but not mentioned anywhere I could find. The time lapse feature is fantastic and not something they really advertise, it runs in the background of any of your other settings, genius! Suggestions: 1. Make a camouflage skin for it (and the panel+cable!). 2. Allow software to set a high resolution setting for what it saves to SD card but optionally a fluid mode for quick live viewing without having to switch to fluid and back again. Seriously Reolink, where have you been all my life?!

So I have been using my friends exactly the same one whilst my pony was poorly and now I can not live without it so I ordered one. I have is on a lebara nano sim works a treat and signals fab the picture quality is 2nd to none and the solar panel works a treat in the sunshine :) Night vision is amazing i very rarely use the light at night time as i dont want to disturb them but thats great to! Honestly this camara is so affordable for such wonderful piece of mind !

Received and setup fairly easily as this is an upgrade to my original Go PT Plus so I can spy on my ponies. The ULTRA picture quality is so superior to the PLUS, being 4K as opposed to 2K and loving the extras... you can set a monitoring position and you can preset points, for instance I've set points for views of the barn, paddock 1, paddock 2, paddock 3 and track, just press the button and it goes to the view you want.. it's a genius idea and love that it automatically resets to the monitoring position when you close the app... the push notifications can get a bit annoying as I've not yet managed to get the sensitivity quite right yet so I've disabled them for now, until I've time to play around with it. It's only been up just over 24 hours but so far I am very impressed.

We have used this camera for filming wildlife for over a year. It is excellent in terms of weather resistance, battery life, sensitivity to movement (which is adjustable) and picture quality. The downside is that it can no longer be switched off as the switch does not work. We got a great year out of it but that switch needs a more durable solution.

Angebracht ist die Kamera an einen 3 m Balken mit 90 cm Erdspieß. Damit steht die Kamera auch bei Sturm stabil. Das Solarpaneel ist zwingend mit einem weiteren Paneel zu ergänzen, um auch im November und Dezember ausreichend Energie zur Verfügung zu stellen. Es gibt hier auch einen passenden Y Stecker. Es ist daher notwendig per Akku die Kamera aufzuladen (10.000er hatte ich zur Verfügung). Bedeutet, eure Kamera sollte besser „erreichbar“ sein. Mit dem zweiten Paneel ist jedoch ein Betrieb deutlich besser abgesichert. Regen oder Schnee machen der Kamera wenig aus. Noch ein Tipp, um so höher die Ausrichtung der Kamerasicht ist, umso besser löst diese aus. Daher überlegen wir auch, die ganze Cam in 4 m Höhe anzubringen. Das ist besser, damit die Kamera deutlich weiter und schneller auslöst. Die Sensoren sind halt „unten“ und umso höher umso besser. Allerdings wird es somit schwierig, mit handelsüblichen Leitern an die Kamera zu kommen. Die LTE Kamera, hier mit o2 Band 20 (800MHz) hat keinerlei Schwierigkeiten ein sauberes HD Bild aufzuzeichnen. Es gibt Low und HD. Die Low Darstellung ist deutlich flüssiger. Die HD Aufnahme ist aber sehr gut geeignet, um auch Nummernschilder zu erkennen. Bei uns ist die Kamera im Wald an unserem Tor, welches 120 m von unserem Haus entfernt ist. Daher ist es ziemlich praktisch, genau zu wissen, wer da vor dem Tore steht. Der Standort ist so gewählt, dass diese nur 2 m vor Beginn unserer Einfahrt auslöst. Ein Hinweisschild gibt es natürlich trotzdem. Die Kamera schreckt dazu schon mit ihrer weißen Farbe alleine ab vor ungebetenen Besuch. Das Paneel gibt es in Schwarz, die Kamera leider nicht. Was natürlich nicht optimal ist. Der Unterschied zu einer WLAN-Kamera ist natürlich, dass diese auch dann aktiv ist, wenn kein Strom das WLAN versorgt. Bis zum Tor hat nie ein WLAN Netz ausreichend Empfang bieten können. Unser Tor zum Wald ist. Ca.120 m vom Router entfernt. Auch mit einem WLAN Repeater war das WLAN Netz und die Verbindung nicht besser als 56 % hinzubekommen. Daher kam hier nur eine LTE Cam bei uns an dieser Position infrage. Die Kamera ist mit einer 128 GB mSD Karte ausgestattet worden und speichert die Aufzeichnungen sehr gut ab. Es gibt auch eine Cloud, welche jedoch kostenpflichtig ist. Der Ton ist ok. Auch das Sprechen über die Kamera ist verständlich. Die Alarme kommen gut per Software Meldung auf das Smartphone und dies wirklich sehr schnell. Auch ist die Verzögerung über LTW bei Live nahezu nur 1 bis 1,5 Sekunden. Was wirklich erstaunlich ist. Es ist auch möglich die Bit Rate anzupassen bei Low und HD usw. Es empfehlt sich natürlich eine Datenkarte und der passende Tarif. Z.B. der My All in One bei 02 wo mit Connect praktisch sehr viele Datenkarten incl. sind. Wer also mehr solcher LTE Cams will, sollte darauf achten. Kleines Update vom 01.10.2023: Im Gegensatz zur ieGeek 2K Solar WLAN (Haustür & Co) mit einem Wasserschaden, funktioniert die Reolink Go PT 3G/4G LTE weiterhin sehr gut. Natürlich kommt mit dem November und Dezember die dunkelste Zeit und da werden auch beide Solar-Panels wohl den Akku nicht immer über 10 % halten. Aber Anfang Oktober sind es gerade 100 % um 24 Uhr. Die App wird kontinuierlich weiter entwickelt. Die 4G LTE Anzeige ist nun dazu gekommen, das Bild in Bild u. v. m. Fazit nach 22 Monaten im Betrieb: Die Kamera ist sehr zu empfehlen für alle welche einen Standort haben der mit WLAN nicht zuverlässig versorgt bzw. abgedeckt werden kann und wo LTE anliegt. Die Kamera macht genau das was sie soll. Auch nach 22 Monaten bei Regen, Hagel, Schnee und Frost, liefert diese wirklich gute Videos und Aufzeichnungen.

Kamera jest bardzo porządnie wykonana i działa bezproblemowo. Łatwo się ją konfiguruje i ma dużą gamę funkcji. Bardzo dobra jakość nagrań i nieźle działający czujnik ruchu (z wykrywaniem danych obiektów ludzie, pojazdy, zwierzęta). Poza bardzo dobrymi nagraniami w nocy (w trybie podczerwonym) ma wbudowane światło, które jest na tyle mocne że może dobrze oświetlać otoczenie.
