The media could not be loaded. I have an older pool that seems to be losing more water than it should through evaporation. This leak detector kit helped me find a small leak behind my pool light, which was the culprit.First off, this is a pretty good value. Bottle is 12 oz and you only need to use 1-2 oz at a time. A little goes a long way. So this will last for a while. The syringe is good quality and easy to use. When you are applying the dye underwater, you only want to use a little at a time, and you need to squirt it out slowly and smoothly. The plunger has just the right resistance, and the large size gives you more control while applying the dye. I've used a few other dye kits like this before, and this is the nicest syringe that any of them came with.The dye glows in UV light if you need extra help seeing it, but I found it very easy to see and track the dye without a light. It is also biodegradable, so it is not dangerous to your pool or swimmers. Considering I only ever put half an ounce or so into the water at a time, I am not worried about affecting the water quality.I’m pretty happy with this product for its ease of use, quality, and quantity for the cost. Hopefully, you don't have a leak in your pool, but if you think you might, this is the product to get to track it down.

I received this item as advertised. The canister and applicator look fine upon inspection. However, since my pool is now covered for the season, I won't be able to use it to detect our leak until we open the pool in the spring. I wanted to grab this to have ready. I will try to remember to update my review once I can use it.

The die is decent and dark enough to be seen even tough its blue, but the applicator sucks. The last kit i had had a very long strawlike tip to apply it precisely. With this kit, the serynge is so short i had to get in the pool to apply the dye.
