Q: My biggest concern is longevity, specifically with the bonded leather material wearing. Anyone have this chair over a yr.?

I too have had this chair for over a year, I got it JULY 2016 and the material is cracking as well on the left armrest as well. Leather material is getting brittle.

Q: I need to be able to sit for long time,My legs and hips are bad.I need a desk chair.

Being a bi-lateral AKA, sitting is all I do in this chair or my wheel chair. It is comfortable to me for long periods of time at my computer. Before the AKA I stood 6' and the upper body is a little tall in this chair and leaning back, but I am normally sitting upright and what portion of my upper body making contact feels good in this chair (head misses the head rest mostly).

Q: How low can this seat be adjusted?

The top of the seat cushion is 17" from the floor at the lowest adjustment. Excellent chair, I had lower back pain after sitting in another type of office chair during the work day, even getting up frequently. It stopped when I invested in this chair, it has excellent cushioning, lumbar support is amazing.
