August TV recorder unit. It works brilliantly + does record the TV channel at the fraction of the cost of some recorders. Ordered this to replace a previous tv recorder that had broken. Our only complaint is, if you record a program, then whilst it is recording it, it practically freezes the remote control + you cant really use the remote. We had previously had a Manhattan recorder + it suddenly stopped working after just 4 years. We did not want to spend over a £150.00 on another recorder to just record the odd tv channel.

NO Prev Days EPG (TV Guide)! NO CATCH-UP! NO Internet connection! NO Search of EPG!NO Series Record! NO Program Desc! NO Clock (LEDs on front ONLY tell secs of Rec./Time shift)!WORST of ALL: EPG 'COMPLETELY SUSPENDED' on Recording, Playing Recordings OR Time-Shift (liveTV Pause/Rewind). PLUS Time-Shift has to be cancelled (Completely Losing what you've paused) BEFORE EPG available again!!!AVOID... Unless you are after a VERY, VERY BASIC PVR!

This is not very user friendly.Especially when in the recording mode,it's difficult to browse other channels in fact the browser facility in general is poor.

Initially I tried a much higher sized USB drive and it went crazy, rebooting and rejecting settings. At the 32gb level all those problems vanished.The EPG only shows one channel at a time, but is clear and setting a recording is easy. If you need to expand on the start and end times of a recording press the blue button and easily change the times.Recordings via a USB pen drive can be used on a computer.Unlike some PVRs works well with recording radio files as well.Excellent help available by email and was given very prompt replies.The USB Drive should be formatted NTFS.A neat package and at the price it is very good value for money

I was disappointed with this device. I found it clunky and rather unresponsive when using the remote. It may well be useful for making the occasional recording but for regular use it is severely limited. It would be best to go for a fully functional device such as a humax or panasonic...the latter may cost more but would be much more useful to a regular user.

We already have a smart tv with freeview but no option to record and streaming is hit and miss on some sites so we decided to get a freeview recorder.We thought thus one offered good value for the price.Connection and set up was so easy and it was so easy to use. Uses the through connection so the tv and recorder received a signal but used the HMDI cable from the recorder to the tv for hood quality playback.It is a great piece if kit and exceeded my expectations. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

This box is good but I am struggling to watch one programme when recording another. You cannot get the EPG when recording so can’t plan your viewing while recording. I am used to having the BT tv box and this sounded similar but struggling to like it. Will keep trying. Easy to set up and love the fact it has a clock display on stand by. Picture quality is good.
