These really are the business when you need to attach anything heavy to your walls. Easy to use and quick to fit - the box clearly shows what tools you need. I've used for shelving and now curtain poles since my walls are made of crumbly plasterboard! Job's a good un!

These were brilliant and enabled me to hang a 50inch TV on my wall which was breeze block and plaster board. I tried with the rawl plugs and bolts that came with the bracket but they just wouldn’t hold due to the wall type. AI advised me on these and they worked a treat. Holds upto 100kg which was more than needed for my 12kg TV. Will definitely be using them again on future DIY projects.

Pretty good fixings but make a practice fixing first. I found if you are fixing into light/medium blocks then the recommended drill size of 10mm is too big and the screws don't bite into the plug enough to expand it in the hole sufficiently (the screw threads tore out when tightening with just two fingers on the screwdriver). This is because the actual screws are relatively thin in diameter /thread depth (which is necessary in order to fit through the steel collar). I recommend using a 9mm drill bit for the full depth (100mm), then open out to 10mm for the front (approx 50mm) portion. Also drill without hammer action if you have light blocks (hammer action tends to make the drill bit walk a little and you get a larger hole). (I didn't have a 9mm masonry bit so I drilled 7mm using proper masonry bit with hammer action, then just used a old 9mm hss steel bit without hammer action - this will cut through like butter). Then knock the red plugs home using a long screw (don't hammer the end of the plug or it will fold over). Using this technique gave a really strong fixing. I used 6 of these to mount a 49" TV on an articulated bracket that pulls out and rotates. I also used 8 of these fixings to mount a 75" TV (flush to the wall though; it's too heavy for an articulated bracket). Overl, spend 5 minutes perfecting your installation technique and you won't be disappointed. I've bought a load more of these for my toolbox (wish I'd just bought a large box rather them buying 4 or 6 at a time).

Good solid product well worth the money.

Excellent fixings for heavier items on dot-and-dab plasterboard walls. They feel much more secure than standard wall plugs and give confidence when mounting shelves, TVs or other heavier objects.

Very pleased with this item and exactly what I was looking for.

If you’ve ever tried fixing something heavy to plasterboard over brick or block and had it eventually pull out, these are exactly the kind of fixings you need. I was mounting an internal retractable washing line onto a plasterboard wall with breeze block behind. Standard rawl plugs (even with adhesive) only held for a few months before giving way. I switched to these Corefix 100mm fixings and the difference is night and day. It does take a bit of effort to drill deep enough into the wall, but once installed they slide in cleanly and tighten up extremely well. Pros: Exceptionally strong fixing into plasterboard with solid backing Eliminates the weakness of standard plugs in this situation Feels completely secure once installed Cons: Requires drilling to full depth (more effort than standard fixings) Overkill for lighter applications Once fitted, the washing line is now absolutely rock solid with no movement at all—it feels like it’s fixed directly into the block rather than the plasterboard. This won’t be necessary for simple or lightweight jobs, but if you’ve had fixings fail in plasterboard with masonry behind, these are a proper solution. Overall: A genuinely effective fixing system for more demanding jobs—worth the extra effort for the peace of mind.
