Not effective underwater
Purchase to use in my diopter scuba mask to serve as a gauge reader. Lenses installed easily, stayed put hydroscopically (used a tiny drop of silicone glue on one edge just to be sure). Was able to read gauges easily with mask on land but not underwater. The refractive qualities of the plastic lenses appeared to be cancelled out when submerged. Did three tests — repeated Pool swims, one open water free diving event and one Scuba dive. Lenses fogged and stayed fogged after application of defogger on third dive, while the rest of mask was not fogged

Quality control
One of the lenses had a very definite defect. Have yet to see if the other one will stick. Will update as I go along.:Update: lens attaches as described and stays. I think some people, including myself get mixed up with concave and convex. If it doesn't stick turn it around and see if it works better!

Don't work as advertised
Lost both in the five bag cause they fell out when the mask dried. I installed a per directions..clean mark and lenses well in detergent install concave side down let dry 24 hrs. Did that and both came loose loosing 1 in a swimming pool!! Glad I didn't take them on a real dive! ,they need to come up with a real adhesive. I want a refund and don't recommend these at all.

Do the job at an excellent price point
Paid 33% less than at my local dive shop. Mounted using a large dot of super glue on one corner to insure they would not fall out.....big mistake. Now I know why they us superglue to raise fingerprints. Use a silicon adhesive as recommended by many on bulletin boards. Good light transmission so do not interfere with visibility in low light conditions. My previous goggles have prescription lenses which after cataract surgery makes the throw always.

Works well with the right defog
The lenses were quite easy to install and they do seem to adhere as described. Initially, I was hesitant to apply baby shampoo, which I've used as defog for years, to the magnifiers themselves. As a result, the fogging of the Optx lenses made them unusable. I then applied the shampoo as usual and gave the Optx a good scrubbing. The fogging cleared and the lenses did not loose adherence. So far, I'm very pleased with these magnifiers. They are a simple and inexpensive solution to a common problem for many of us more "seasoned" divers

Worked ok while they stayed on
I was able to get them to adhere, and did so ahead of time like the packaging stated. One stayed in for a day, then washed away in the gulf.Second one stayed a few more days. However it got hazy. It almost looked like a haze formed between the small lens and mask lens. It was kind of usable, but took a lot of effort to make things show in focus with the haziness. I would have tried removing it, cleaning, and re-adding it -but wouldn't have had time for it to sit and was afraid it would come off and lose it.Well, 2 days after losing the first - this one came off and apparently washed away in the gulf.I'm giving it a 2 because it worked very temporarily. As someone else posted, maybe it would do better with a couple of drops of silicone to hold it in place.

Lens fell out after first dive.
I installed these following the instructions provided from the site. On my first dive using these, one of the lenses fell out :-(While swimming, I found that I had not installed them high enough on the mask. So, lesson learned on my next installation. The lenses do seem to work, and I will purchase a replacement, as there isn't really an alternative.

Does the job, stays put
I’m a high myope; I wear progressive lenses. Underwater I wore contact lenses for distance and I used these (cut to fit the mask) to read gauges. Through my entire PADI OW course, confined and ocean dives—lots of defog applications, mask floods—they never budged. Don’t get old like me...or if you do, get these. And follow the instructions.
