A great way to learn mahjong and practice on your own. Pretty cards and of a nice size to lay out on a table.

Great price, great travel size (about an inch smaller than standard playing cards).

The cards were about 2/3 of the size of a regular deck of cards, which I didn’t expect. They are cute and high-quality cards that are easy enough to play with. For those used to American Mahjong you still will need your own cards with the winning hands And will need to remove four jokers. After playing with them, we realize we would benefit from a tray that holds the plane cards in front of us because it’s harder to visualize without them all in front of you at once. Lastly, the West cards and white dragon cards look almost identical on the corners and we’re hard to differentiate, so we wrote over them with a sharpie as you can see in my second picture because otherwise we didn’t get why there were 8 west cards. In conclusion, would be great for traveling to play, but still need to have cards for winning hands and some relabeling necessary.

I’ve just got it delivered and immediately opened it! I am amazed by how beautiful this card set is!! Seasons and dragons are a piece of art. The size of the cards is perfect considering Mahjong tiles are usually very small. With any wooden card holder this set will work perfectly while giving anyone the ability to easily learn the different sets and distinguish between the cards (some tiles sets are harder for new learners). I really recommend you all to get this beautiful set! Thank you so much for this American Mahjong card set 😍

I made myself wait until I counted the cards before I left a review. All the cards were present, so I bumped the review up 1 star since everything was accounted for. However, when i opened the package, the plastic wrap that was supposed to seal the card case was opened at the bottom. And the cardboard case itself was damaged. A couple of the cards inside were bent on the corner as well. Some of the cards have grime on them too. So with all that in mind, i’m thinking this deck was opened by someone and thumbed through, or the deck was lightly used. Aside from the dirt on cards, and the couple that were bent when the case was damaged, the cards look shiny and almost new. I got the Chinese deck because I wanted to learn the characters. I want to get Mahjong tiles and a nice case eventually but i thought the cards would be a good (and also cheaper) introduction for me. I’m going to clean these 144 cards… and find a small case to keep them in, because the paper case is not going to survive long. I’m going to make this work but I am disappointed at the unboxing experience and the extra work i’m going to have to put into this. I hope my experience was not a common one. Overall, probably would not recommended to someone looking to gift these to anyone.

Really nice American Mahjong card set. The cards themselves are a little wider and a little shorter than a regular deck of cards. The cards are nice and sturdy with lovely graphics. Very portable.

Novice player but think this is a great little pack

Great value and great for practicing Charleston. Can't see how or why someone would use to actually play the game. Box arrived with a tear which was a bummer.

The size of these cards are not standard and are difficult to hold. The overall quality is poor relative to price.

The cards are well printed. They are smaller than standard poker size playing cards. I don't play american mahjong but I like having that set included becuase now it's easier to read since I don't actually understand chinese characters.
