These flashcards are a fantastic way to reinforce all the vocabulary I've been memorizing
These flashcards are a fantastic way to reinforce all the vocabulary I've been memorizing. They have really helped to sort out what I need to work on for the test and what I can put to the side. The only thing I can think of that would help is to actually sell them as flashcards in a box instead of in book form. I have cut out and laminated each card to make studying easier and preserve the cards.

Great Way to Learn !!
Not knowing a thing about exercise science these flash cards are the best way of putting the main concepts into my head. Now when I read or hear about these terms it is much easier to grasp. I also did laminate them to make them durable since I use them frequently.

An excellent variety of flash cards for the NASM-CPT Certification Exam that can be cut out and laminated ...
This Nationals Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT exam (NASM—CPT) is geared toward the CPT or Certified Personal Trainer. Not to say that these flash cards can’t be used by those aiming for careers such as the group exercise instructor (GEI) or the certified exercise physiologist (EP-C), because I feel they would be a help. I’m all up for getting all the information I can about any exam because the more information I can utilize, the better. In the introductory material of this book you’ll learn just what the NASM—CPT is all about, what’s on the exam (detailed below), how long the exam takes, and other pertinent information.Simply reading the introductory material in any Ascencia guide is a mini-journey of must-have information. The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) is “an NCCA- accredited, growing health and fitness organization that specializes in applying evidence -based research to various fitness models.” You’ll also learn exactly what a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) is, but chances are you already know what they are if you’re checking out study / prep materials. The NASM—CPT is a multiple-choice exam. Scoring is one of those questions we all want to know about and a passing score is 70%. More specific information can be garnered from the NASM website, something most people will probably do prior to purchasing any study / prep guides and materials.I’ve always made my own flash cards and actually made them for courses I took in graduate school. These flash cards can be cut out and laminated, something I’d probably recommend. These cards to have questions, concept / definition cards, and definition / concept cards, something that most certainly gives a glimpse into what the exam is all about. Some of the questions are fairly easy, while others demand a wider knowledge base. For example, one asks: “The back loaded squat exercise primarily targets which muscle groups?” The answer is: the glutes, hamstrings, quadricceps, and erector spinae.”•► WHAT’S ON THE NASM-CPT PERSONAL CERTIFICATION EXAM:(The domain is followed by the approximate number of questions per subject and the percentage).I Basic and Applied Sciences and Nutritional Concepts: 21 Questions, 17%II Assessment: 22 Questions, 18%III Program Design: 25 Questions: 21%IV Exercise Technique and Training Instruction: 26 Questions; 22%V client Relations and Behavioral Coaching: 14 Questions, 12%VI Professional Development and Responsibility: 12 Questions, 10%TOTAL: 120 Questions; 2 hours. Each one of the three sections in this book has a nice variety of what I might call prompt words and phrases as well as those which ask questions. Prompts are self-explanatory, but I found the flash cards in the first section to be more valuable in that they give a better idea of what to study for. The answers are specific enough to help with the critical thinking process. Yet another question asks: “When should the trainer look to increase the intensity of a specific exercise?” The answer is: The intensity of a specific exercise should be increased when the client has reached a high level of proficiency with the current exercise.” There is no DVD included in this book, but is available by request after posting a review. This book courtesy of the publisher.

While I feel like there is good info in this book
While I feel like there is good info in this book. It is not at all what I thought it would be. Especially for the price. I do not recommend purchasing this unless you can purchase at a lower price.

If you want to be prepared for this test, this collection should be on your buy list.
This set of flashcards is a great option for those looking for a fast and efficient change in their study routine. This is a book that contains 300+ flash cards that are made by tearing or cutting them out. The questions are on the front with answers on the back, so pretty straightforward and it doesn't really take much time at all to put together. The questions are varied and cover everything from basic vocabulary terms to short answer responses and term definitions. This is a study source that I feel good about using because the publication date is so recent and the price is almost too good to be true. There's even an offer for a free DVD on the first page. The flashcards are separated into two types: concept - definition or definition - concept. If you want to be prepared for this test, this collection should be on your buy list.

Ideal study material
Both materials were amazing for me to study on my own time and my own pace to prepare myself for the exam. Purchasing the book before signing up for the certification allowed me to highlight key words and phrases I needed to know for the NASM Exam. Great, detailed information to what I needed to know to pass the NASM Exam!

These Are Not Flash Cards!
I thought the "cards" would be more of a card quality. This is a book with dotted lines to guide you in cutting out the "cards" which are made just as the pages in any other book. I do not think they are durable enough to be called flash cards, they will not last long. If you are anything like me when studying, you will use these over and over again and they will be placed in and removed from a bag many times over. I just do no think these will last!
