Brilliant little kettle.
There’s not a lot of choice for low wattage kettles and the ones available are not exactly a piece of art like regular kettles, but out of all the choice and spec I wanted, this one ticked the box. I think it’s the best looking one by far. Very cute and a modern design. It’s not a big brand but it looks the part. I like that it has colour choices that the others don’t. I feel the others are more a necessity for the travel market and haven’t given any thought to the design for people like myself that want one in their kitchen. I love that this one doesn’t have an element to clog up. It’s just a stainless steel tubular cavity which looks very easy to clean. I also like that it’s just a plug in, that I can choose to hide the cable if I want. Compared to others that may seem practical by taking the kettle off the base to fill it, or like one small one I’ve seen where the cable is attached to the kettle which makes no sense. My old kettle, a Buffolo of which very similar ones are now available, was a lift off one which always got stuck on the base so I didn’t want another plus it’s extra cleaning. And it leaked when pouring. We bought it for the caravan but when we got solar panels we decided to use it in the house to cut down on what we use. That’s why I’ve gone for another low voltage one. We probably only boil it once a day for drinks and I use it for boiling water in cooking when needed. Boiling a 3kW kettle for a couple of minutes is probably a similar cost to boiling a low wattage for 6 minutes but when you’re working with what solar you are downloading it can make a difference between buying from the grid or using your solar. I boiled the max of 800ml and it took 6:50.38 minutes, compared to my 900W 1ltr kettle which took 6:20.65 to boil 800ml. But I think I could have pulled it off at just under 6 mins as it seemed to boil fully for ages before it clicked off, which my other doesn’t. I was watching it for nearly 2 minutes thinking surely it’s going to turn off any second now, but it didn’t. I’ll have to test it without the lid. I chose the white one as our appliances are white and our kitchen dark but I really liked the look of the black one too. It’s a beautiful little kettle.

Low wattage kettle
Nice little kettle ideal for motorhome use with power bank or mains electricity, filled to max level and took5mins 40secs to boil water a little longer than house kettle but not really a problem , only thing is power cord cannot be stored in base like some others, kettle weight is good , at 600w good energy efficiency

Design fault.
Had to give one star. Worked fine, the issue was when you came to poor the lid fell off result being boiling water pouring everywhere. Returned the item.

Lovely little travel kettle
Great travel kettle, quick to boil and really good for the campervan. Quiet when using, lightweight and just the right capacity for 2 cups of tea. Cool to touch even when boiled.

Good little low wattage kettle for motorhome use, low noise value for money, not the fastest at boiling but it’s only 600 watt.Light weight & small for ease of storage.

NOT made by Black & Decker!
NOT made by Black and Decker. Doesn't mention on box or kettle - actually no brand name at all.We bought this thinking it was made by a reputable company. It does boil water but not the product we expected. It is very quiet but took nearly 5 minutes to boil full amount of water. We may return it due to safety concerns.
