I put it together and added tepid water. No water comes out after squeezing. What should I be doing?

I fill the bottle to just shy of the top and it takes a good strong hand to get the water to come out. Make sure the bottom of the spout is in the water in the bottle. It only works for me for about 1/2 cup of water and then I have to fill it to the top again. It is very difficult to use.

What is the flex material made of inside the tube?

There is a bendable metal for inside the tube that keeps its shape. Will rust if you leave to full after using.

Can it suck up liquid to fill it?

I haven't tried that, but I expect is is possible if given the right circumstances. However, it would probably be very tiring for your hands to squeeze is enough to keep filling it that way.

Can I use like normal watering can, tip it forward and upside down? Does it leak?

Fairly water tight where nozzle inserts into cap. Ideal when having to water a hanging plant. Squeezing bottle delivers water through the nozzle, so no need to tip.
