It gives a nice water trickle sound and also looks beautiful. Well worth the price. The only thing I wish is that the light were just a smidgen brighter, but that is personal preference.

The media could not be loaded. This fountain is larger than I expected and fits perfectly on my counter. It actually does sound like a waterfall and not just dripping water or a running faucet! I have it in a larger room so it’s perfect. I think it may sound louder in a smaller room but MOST IMPORTANTLY, I don’t hear the motor at all! The bowl is very lightweight plastic but once assembled, it doesn’t look like it. The stone however is a nice weight and looks amazing! Definitely worth the price for a quiet motor, lovely water sounds, and pleasing to the eye!

This fountain is easy to set up. The bottom bowl is pretty large so make sure you have a lot of extra desk space if this is for the office, and keep some of the box to stuff under it in case you need to make it lean a bit to get the water to go where you need it to go so it won't splash. The biggest problem is the hanging plate isn't actually centered on the fountain. I put it together just like the instructions said and no matter what I do, the hooked pipe holding the heavy rock plate thing is off center so as the water runs down it splashes off to one side. I used the rocks included to build up a little wall on that side to help block the water but it still looks kinda weird all off-center. It's pretty and sounds nice. The light is subtle but also nice. The materials are solid and well worth the price. I just wish it all looked a little less like it snuck in a few brews during lunch.Edit: Less than 2 months after I bought this, it stopped working. I would plug it in and would hear the pump trying, but nothing happened. I threw it in the trash. Absolute garbage. Don't waste your money.

Although I think the instructions could’ve left me a little more secure that I was doing things right, I plugged it in and it worked! It was necessary to adjust a bit because it was splashing water where water would not be good. I adjusted and I think we’re all good now; I think I could place it on a surface that might be marked by moisture. Basically I am enjoying it. I think it is a lovely product for the price.

The fountain looks great and there isn’t a lot of splashing unless you overfill. But there are also problems; one that can be fixed and the other one that I’m not sure about. First, the rocks that came with it were full of dirt. I suggest that you rinse them before placing them in the fountain. Second, much more important fact is that the pump is super LOUD. Based on other comments I thought this was going to be a quiet one, but I don’t think I can stand the buzzing. It kills the relaxation it creates. Did I get a dud or are they all like this?!? Who knows! There is no way to contact the seller or the manufacturer that I know of, and I definitely don’t have the time to deal with back and forth - so this will have to go back.
