Perfect Starter Home for My Flock!
This brooder box is fantastic—I use it for all my new chicks, and they absolutely love it! Setup was quick and easy, and the 25-piece kit has everything I need. The drawer for manure separation is a game-changer for easy cleaning, and the spacious design comfortably holds up to 35 chicks. Durable, well-designed, and stress-free for both me and my birds. Highly recommend for chicks, ducks, quails, or even small pets!

Large starter brooder
Instructions on assembly could have been better. Works even better for me hooked up to a micro controller that sences temp and humidity and turns on the heating and cooling automatically. Nake sure to use a pad for newborns because the holes in the wire mesh are to big at first

Great idea but…
I bought this product because I wanted to observe chicks while they are growing and getting ready to go outside to big coop. First of: directions are just awful. I have PhD and usually can follow even complicated directions. Well, this one stumped me. It took me entire evening to put this puzzle together. Some screws were missing, some pieces did not fit perfectly. All in all, directions are useless, and had to McGyver a lot. Next: it is quite flimsy and I do not think it will last long. Quite disappointed in this purchase.

No option for replacement parts
The “C” kit is OK quality but one of the ceramic heater bulbs was broken upon arrival. I did not discover this until I was halfway through assembly, and after speaking with 3 customer service reps, I was not able to get a partial refund nor request a replacement part. They only provided me the option to return the item for a full replacement, which was not at all reasonable since the item was heavy and almost assembled. I usually do not have issues with Amazon returns, but this experience will make me think twice before making any larger item/kit purchases on Amazon in the future. I cannot speak to the ease of use or durability yet since I now have to find a replacement bulb on my own before I can house chicks in it.

Instructions are pretty useless, but not hard to assemble.
Haven’t put chicks in it, but don’t foresee any issues there. Issues we had were the instructions, worst instructions I’ve ever encountered. Nothing is labeled and doesn’t tell which screws for what, but we didn’t use the heat lamps or any extras that came with it so w head plenty of hardware to make it work. We’ll be using a heat plate with it and raising our seramas in it. A friend has one and highly recommended it for seramas with a heat plate, the lights get way too hot she informed us. Once you get the hang of not having instructions to guide you, it goes together pretty quick. I added a video to help. Lightweight, I’ll say that much, seems like it will be easy to clean and functional for new chicks. Think it’s fairly good for the value although we bought it with a $50 coupon, seems well made and safe for chicks. Wire might be too big for new chicks but well put puppy pads down for the first week or 2. (Serama chicks are extra small) Definitely should put pads down in the tray so put doesn’t sit directly on the wood.

Nothing opens or closes properly. My husband had to plane every side
I think it makes a decent broader except the wood is so cheap it swells. It took too long especially the heater. No directions.

Saved us from a snowstorm
Last year during a snowstorm we received 25 new baby chicks. My husband had surgery and I was on my own caring for the little ones. My son and I put together the brooder easily and loved how easy it was to care for them due to how well constructed the design was. I looked at several options online and I’m so glad this was my choice. Did I mention this set on my family room dining table until they had outgrown the space? Our indoor cats loved being able to see through and enjoyed the daily show.
