Doesn’t work.
It honestly doesn’t work. It feels slightly chemically, but there isn’t a real flavor to it like the ads say.I thought I didn’t pull the pod correctly at first, so I tried it multiple times as the instructions say, but water doesn’t come out properly and only air like theres a hole in the straw or something, really odd. I feel like it has to do with the hole on the back and the pod, but overall doesn’t work well as I would have thought. It might taste better with sparkling water.. but at that point I’d just buy flavored sparkling water 😅Also, the cap came like slightly yellow.. not sure if its the plastic just like that, but looks old and not new.. hope that’s just my imagination.

Supremely Disappointed.
Danny Gonzalez and Kurtis Conner lied to me. This thing kind of sucks. Maybe it's just my nose/mouth, but I can barely taste anything. The mixed berry "flavor" is pleasant when I get I whiff of it, but it's usually only on the very first sip and then nothing... Also drinking through the straw sucks, no pun intended. If you've ever accidentally broken your straw in a drive-thru and then drank through it then you know how it feels to drink from this bottle when the "flavor" is activated (pull the pod out until it stops). It's like drinking through a broken straw--you get half air and half water. It has to be like this because that's how the scent-based "flavor" works, but it takes double the effort to get the same amount of water than when the flavor pod is pushed down (when it's down the straw works like a normal straw--full flow of water).Overall I am just really bummed I don't like this product. The bottle is extremely high quality and well-built. The materials feel nice in the hand. I got the transparent clear version and the bottle cap is slightly discolored yellow while the bottle itself is perfectly frosty clear. I wouldn't buy this again and I would be VERY embarrassed to gift this as a gift because the recipient would be very disappointed in the "flavor" technology. Just drink flavored water instead. La Croix has ten-times the flavor and if you know La Croix, that's insane.

Not insulated!
Great idea and the scent works but this water bottles had tons of condensation and a waste. Pay more to get an insulated one. Wasted my money and should have returned but it was a gift.

The best bottle I’ve had
Loved it so much!!!!! I lost mine recently (honestly, I think it was stolen at work) because I kept bragging how awesome it was

Interesting concept and does give the impression of flavor, but annoying bubbling affect.
I thought this was an interesting concept. Smell certainly has an impact on how you interpret taste and even trigger memories. My assumption was that the smell pod would introduce a smell into your nose through your nostrils, but that isn’t actually how this works. What it actually does is introduce the smell into your mouth, so it could be that you are both tasting and smelling (via getting into your sinuses from inside your mouth; I would think that this would be backwards and you’d smell better from breathing it in through your nostrils). The bottle seems strong and I presume is a polycarbonate. The top portion is a silicon rubber that presses into the bottle top like a stopper. The straw is a hard plastic that just inserts into the bottom side of the silicon rubber top piece. The cap is a hard plastic that screws on and seals the mouth piece (or so you hope, otherwise it just fills with water waiting to be unscrewed and spill all over). The cap also has a rubber strap that is replaceable (in case it breaks or you just want a different color). The opening of the bottle is at an angle, which at first I thought would be a pain to fill it, but it was not bad. The straw has a bend in it so that you can position it such that it is at the bottom corner where the water will collect as you tip the bottle to drink out of it; however, the straw is just shy of the bottom and will not allow you to sip every last drop out.The mouth piece does not seal and is always open, so if you do not have the screw on cap installed tightly, it will spill if tipped. On the neck of the mouth piece is a small hole, which is essential to how all of this works. Around the mouthpiece in the stopper style top is a ring shaped indentation for the small/flavor pod to sit. The mouth piece is roughly tear dropped shaped and this also helps you align the pod in the correct orientation as the hole in the middle of it matches (so it is essentially keyed to be installed in only one way). When the scent pod is installed and pressed all the way down, water flows smoothly and has no “taste” to it. Pulling the pod up to the lower lip on the mouth piece will align the previously mentioned small hole in the neck. There is a hole in the same place of the pod and also on the under side. In this position, when you take a sip of water, it also pulls air through the pod and into the neck of the mouth piece, which then is more like gurgling water as air is inserted into the stream. Of note is that the lower the water is in the bottle, the less water you get and the more air. Not installing a pod also results in the same effect of air being injected into the stream of water. I found this effect a bit annoying along with the flavor position having the pod crowding my mouth as I tried to get a drink, but overall it was not upsetting. So it seems reasonably well built and using good materials, but how well does it work. Well, the scent inducing a perceived flavor is sort of a thing. With the berry flavored pods, I did have an impression that the water did mildly taste of berries (not a strong flavor, but noticeable and mostly natural). I am still curious as if I am actually tasting some of the scent as it is actually injected into my mouth and not just into my sinuses. It does seem a bit gimmicky, but if it works and gets you to stop using so many flavor packets on drinks and has you more interested in consuming more water in a day, then I guess it works as designed.
