Soo thankful this product was made for side open and crank open windows. Works great and really keeps the hot air out. Can be a bit of a challenge setting up depending on the size of your window but once it’s done you’ll be thankful you bought it.

I buy a new one of these each year, as they can get kind of gross after being exposed to outside for many months. The one I previously ordered changed their design to have a “universal” hose attachment, which of course did not fit the hose of my AC unit. I came back to Amazon to find one that has the zipper style opening and found this product. I don’t ever use the Velcro tape that comes with these, because I find the adhesive usually doesn’t hold up and seems to dissolve from heat-I buy the strong outdoors Velcro tape and it works perfectly with this! Setting it up was a pretty straightforward and easy process, and now that it’s been up a couple of months, I can rest assured that it is doing its job. It has been holding up wonderfully so far-the zipper stays taught around the hose exiting to the outside, and it is doing great at keeping the hot air outside instead of inside. I highly recommend measuring to ensure you get the right size, I measured and the fit was perfect. For these weird French windows, I absolutely recommend this product to set up your portable AC! They’re also quite easy to take down when summer is over, thought with the Velcro I have been using, I definitely have a lot of adhesive left behind that I will eventually need to address, but it’s totally worth it to be able to keep my apartment cool during the summer!

I have casement windows that open outward. My home does not have central air so this has been very helpful with our portable AC units. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best option that I’ve come across thus far. With most AC venting, this will pose a security risk if you are not in a safe area as the sealer is Velcro on. I have been able to take mine off as it is Velcro on, and my window still shuts with the Velcro adhered to the window. You do have to stick the Velcro to your actual window, so this also poses a risk at damaging the windows with the adhesive. Instructions were not very clear so I watched the video and that was helpful.

I had resigned myself to getting a swamp cooler for my room as I have a very old window (think 1920's built house), which opens in a way that looks near impossible to fit any kind A/C unit there. However, searching the internet, I saw this neat window seal and it saved me from the 90 degree weather we get in Southern California on occasion. It's really such a life saver. As for application, it's a bit daunting, and I wish there were multiple manuals, video or otherwise, available for the different window types, but it's easy enough with some messing around. My advice would be to make sure that you're able to fit the velcro strips in a way that will enable you to close your window still in case, since not all nights will be scorching. That and order the correct size, as I failed to do so on the first trial. Great customer service, and again, I really appreciate this product.

It was a pain to figure out. The narrowest velcro side is too narrow for the most narrow window opening on our side swing casement window. This JUST fit the measurement of our window because you have to bunch up the velcro to make it fit snug around the corners of the window. I would give your window size at least an extra 15" to make space for the bunching at the corners or around the hand cranks. There's still a small gap between the zipper and the AC hose which has only allowed one moth to fly in, but like I said--it works like 80% and that's enough for us.

Our central air went out in our apartment in Nevada in July. We have to wait two weeks for the replacement part so the repair person brought up a portable unit and used duct tape and a trash bag (I’m not kidding - see the picture) to affix the hose to the window. It lasted approximately 12 minutes before the heat of the unit got so hot that the adhesive on the tape melted, causing extremely hot air to then blow BACK into our apartment. At 3am, it was 90°. In a late night internet search, while sweating and crying, I stumbled across this GEM on amazon. It was delivered in less than two days and installed within minutes. You can see that the windows we have are weird - almost like a reverse awning. So I wasn’t sure if it would work. But the 300CM was PERFECT on the larger window. This has saved me (and my marriage) - can’t recommend enough.

Absolutely insanely confusing to install and almost impossible to get sealed properly. This thing is a joke. Two to three of us couldn't even figure out how to put it up properly so it's nice and neat. It's just a mess. Using duct tape would've been easier to seal the window.

This window seal exceeded my expectations! Installation was seamless and easy to understand. I wish I would have purchased this sooner as it has saved my office from being a boiling mess. The kit comes with self adhesive Velcro strips to attach the panels to. This made the installation incredible easy to adjust to the needs of my window as I could cut and bend the velcro strip accordingly. Lining up the panels was quick work once the other velcro strips were in place.

Er zat bij mij geen spleet waar lucht doorheen kan komen tussen de kant waar de raamscharnieren zitten en het raamkozijn, waardoor ik uiteindelijk alleen de 3 zijden van mij raam hoefde af te dichten. Had hierdoor dus een raamafdichting nodig die voldeed aan de lengte van de 3 zijden en niet van de 4 zijden zoals normaal zou moeten. Hierdoor was ik even in verwarring, maar hiermee geholpen door Hoomee klantenservice en zit nu allemaal goed. Een uitstekend product voor de rest.

Très satisfait de ce tissu de calfeutrage.Franchement, je suis très content de cet achat. Le tissu de calfeutrage est assez simple à mettre en place et l’installation ne pose pas de difficulté particulière. Une fois installé, ça tient bien et ça donne tout de suite une impression de produit pratique et bien pensé.Pour le moment, il semble faire correctement son travail et aider à mieux isoler l’ouverture de la fenêtre autour du climatiseur mobile. Je n’ai pas encore eu l’occasion de le tester pendant les très grosses chaleurs, donc je préfère garder un peu de recul sur l’efficacité maximale, mais les premiers résultats sont vraiment encourageants. Honnêtement, je reste très confiant pour la suite.En résumé, c’est un produit facile à installer, pratique au quotidien et qui semble efficace. Pour l’instant, je suis pleinement satisfait de mon achat.

Bought this to replace the piece of cardboard jammed in the window. I wasnt too sure how effective this was going to be to stop the heat from coming back in and to stop insects invading the bedroom. I watched the installation video a couple of times as my window opens outward. I applied the velcro to the window surround and window frame, to be honest there was a bit of material left over but I secured this with a clothes peg to close the gap. The material is strong as are the zips, the velcro provides a strong seal to the window frame and once you get the hang of zipping up the aircon hose and locking it with the reusable cable tie this really is a bit of effective kit. I have used this all summer and now the weather is cooling I can leave it in place and still close my window. For the money you really cant go wrong and the after sales support is also excellent with follow up emails to check if all is ok and offer of support for installation questions. I would highly recommend it.
