Downscales to lowest supported resolution and hz
I couldn't get it to work. I have an xbox series x running at 4k 120hz. My tv runs at 4k 120hz. i have a Philip Hue Sync box that only runs at 4k 60hz or 1080p at 120hz. if i connect the output to my hue, my xbox gets limited to 4k 60hz. the splitter is downscaling to the lowest supported resolution... because of this, i had to return the device sadly.... ... ... UPDATE: I'm updating my review to 5stars. Customer service reached out to me, which I did not expect. They were helpful, and the product itself works well as intended, a simple switch that duplicates/mirror the output at the lowest resolution of whatever your device is able to output. For me, since I had a lower end device, all my highend device also went down. This is understandable. I'm just blown away by the customer service. Since it was at my own fault for not understanding how the device works, I can't downstar for my lack of understanding or oversight.

Excellent Value Splitter, But not perfect - not for me
Everything about this looks good on paper, and most things worked well as expected with a few exceptions. Ultimately I ended up returning this because I could not get VRR (variable refresh rate) to work on Xbox Series X , a must for me. No combination of dip switches (including "TV Copy mode " ) could change this outcome. I saw another reviewer mentioned that they had flickering issues which were solved using a higher wattage usb power supply. Tried a 5v 3 amp brick that works well for an overclocked raspberry pi, changed nothing for me sadly. Another issue I ran into was that 10 bit graphics would make this thing freak out and reset every 10 seconds or so. Only 10 bit caused this issue for me. Everything else worked as expected. Can confirm this this strips HDCP and should work with most if not all capture cards. All tests were done with only 1 monitor connected to ensure best odds of 10 bit or VRR working. Tried 3 different monitors and an LG oled tv , all same results. Perhaps manufacture will eventually push out an update resolving these issues

Works Great for Mirroring Displays
Installing and configuring this HDMI Splitter was extremely easy. I had no problems at all setting it up to mirror the same HDMI signal over multiple displays. The display resolution for all connected displays will be set by the HDMI Splitter to the lowest common supported resolution for all connected displays. For example, I split the HDMI output signal from my Apple TV HD to both a 1080p monitor and a 4K monitor. Both monitors displayed the HDMI signal at 1080p since the 1080p monitor was only able to support 1080p while the 4K monitor could also display 1080p signals even though it could support higher resolutions. The HDMI Splitter cannot send a 1080p HDMI signal to one monitor and a 4K HDMI signal to a 4K monitor at the same time. In any case, all of my HDMI displays showed the same video output and looked fabulous, with no discernible lag or anomalies. The HDMI source had no indication that its single video output was being mirrored across multiple monitors, as I fully expected. Since the video source only sees a single monitor it is not possible to use this HDMI Splitter to extend your computer's display desktop across multiple monitors, which I fully expected. The only adjustment that I had to make was to set one SIP switch to the ON position in order to get the 2-channel audio to work correctly. This was a simple adjustment and the included user manual provided sufficient guidance on which switch or switches need to be set to the ON position. I had no problem connecting the audio extraction output via optical audio to a DAC feeding my stereo receiver. In summary, I am very satisfied that this HDMI Splitter and trust that it will deliver many years of productive service with its full complement of features. The build quality is excellent, all of the ports are clearly marked, the limitations of the HDMI Splitter are clearly identified in the product listing, e.g., no ARC support, and installation was nearly plug & play. I currently do not currently have an 8K display to test the HDMI Splitter's most challenging applications, but everything that I've used it with, including 4K and 1080p displays worked flawlessly. With four (4) HDMI outputs I can now show the same video from multiple wall mounted monitors facing in different directions and even monitors in different rooms. This HDMI Splitter is a big step up in terms of features, quality, and performance compared to lower cost HDMI splitters. I think it delivers great value for the price and will recommend it to friends and family.

Working good after I messed with it a bit
Trying to be able to stream the same show to multiple TVs in my home. I like to wander around the house with the same program playing. This splitter took me a bit to figure out. This is a bit of a new concept for me, and I am by no means a techy person. My first attempt at using this was a fail, there are switches for EDID which I don't understand, and I didn't appreciate the instructions that came with the product. However, for some reason or another, my second attempt with connecting this splitter has worked. I sort of just messed around with the EDID switches mindlessly until I had both picture and sound on the TVs. I do lose some picture quality, but I will not be using this when I'm sitting on the couch to seriously watch a show, this is mostly for when I have some show on that I've seen before and going from the kitchen, to the living room, laundry room and so on. There is a bit of a lag from the main TV that is connected with an HDMI cable vs the TVs that are connected using bluetooth transmitters and receivers, but it's not too bad for me to notice as the TVs are in different rooms, so as long as I don't have the sound on the TVs blaring, it's working out great for me and what I was hoping for.

Misleading EDIDs
8K EDID was only allowing 4K 30Hz output to my television. Most other EDIDs were misleading as well.
