Bestop 8103709 Charcoal/Gray All Weather Trail Cover

I ordered this Bestop in charcoal for my TJ because I was tired of getting caught in the rain and using makeshift tarps. I finally bit the bullet the ordered it. Bestop already has a good reputation, but I have to say, it really exceeded my expectations. It is heavy, durable yet flexible material with a very soft fleece lining to carefully protect the surfaces. I keep it casually bundled up behind my back seat so I can quickly whip it out and apply it in the event of a storm when I don't have the top on. The application is very easy, even easier than I may have thought it would be. It only took me a few seconds to initially figure out how to put it in. It really does fit like a glove, (almost) perfectly applied in the nooks and crannies and has clips in the right places to hold it in place. I would definitely recommend this product. Got this as an added security measure and I'm thrilled I did. We don't have a garage and I didn't want the neighborhood cats hopping in over night misbehaving or getting comfy and I found that it actually doubles to ease any concerns I have of people messing with my jeep too. Be mindful that it does NOT work over your softop... so you will have to collapse it or remove it. And... like many others I too never got it to fit back in the bag, But the bag was recycled for tools and I was easily able to find a beach bag to put it in while it's off.The quality is great, snug fit, easy install and removal (if you're mindful to fold it up in the process) and definitely water proof (I put it on and fold parts back to allow me wash the jeep without concern of washing the interior).I use this in addition to the alien sunshade and it definitely makes it easier for folding up and eliminates a little of the front section sagging that is experienced during washing or rain.*****Helpful hint****To take it off/store it, I leave it on the jeep, flip the windshield and back window section up , then flip each of the door sides up and proceed to roll it front to back in about 5 or 6 sections. That "taquito" if you will is then folded in half left to right twice (while standing in the back of the jeep) . It leaves the soft side out but because I stick it in a beach bag, it stays clean and i can keep it in the cargo area in the event of an unseasonal rain. To put it back on... simply reverse the process.(Also for those wondering why the random grommet hole near the mirrors... it's to run a security cable through!)

I have had this Bestop Trail cover for a couple of weeks and did not want to write my review until I had it in a couple of good rain storms. From the first time I put it on I could tell the quality was awesome. The fit is like a glove! It goes on in less than 3 minutes and comes off faster than that.My TJ is not my daily driver. It stays in my driveway or at work with the top down and doors off with this trail cover on it. Without this cover top off / doors off would not be an option for me. This cover was what made it possible.After a rain the water pools over the front seats. I sneak into the Jeep with the cover on and lift that area up so the water runs off, then I shake it around to get it a little dry before I pull it off. Some drops come in with this process, but it's a Jeep...I do not see any design flaws at all. For this price I would buy it every year or 2 if I had to. It is that convenient!! I will WARN the Jeepers with a lot of accessories that may change the shape of the vehicle (that this cover goes over). Such as lights that mount to the windshield hinges or a light bar. This cover is not forgiving. It fits the body perfectly with no room to adjust for anything. This was not a big problem for me. The only thing I have in the way is the bracket for my quick release side view mirror. It makes the door flap flare out a little, but NBD. BUY THIS COVER. IT IS AWESOME!!!UPDATE:So a full season has gone by and my original review is still accurate, except for me pulling on a tie down strap too hard. It made a little tear at the stitching. This top is Amazing, I am so glad I found it. It makes wrangler ownership so much more enjoyable!!!
