I HAVE BEEN USING...
... this item daily for four months now, so I feel that I have given it enough of a run to be able to sensibly comment.I will start by telling you what I use it for. This product has saved my garden ! I utilise it to deter cats from entering under a side gate and using my borders to relieve themselves on with uncanny - and dismaying - regularity. Since installing this product, my soil has not been defaecated upon even once ! No more do I have to contend with that putrid odour of pussy excrement as I stoop to scoop the poop yet again.I have it permanently attached to a hose which is fitted with an electronic timer. As I do not wish to be soaked every time I go to my garage, I have set the timer so that it comes on from seven at night to seven in the morning and I adjust it with the seasons. (As I am mostly at home during the day, I find that the cats are not so much an issue during daylight hours.) Please note that if you do this, there is always some residual water in the system and I recommend dangling a foot in front of the sensor for that first discharge before walking past in the mornings ! And do make sure that you remember to warn anyone else who might be housesitting, for example ! Otherwise, they will not thank you as the oscillating jet stays on for about five seconds and doesn't take any prisoners !!The direction and reach of the spray are easily adjustable. The motion sensor, I have found, works extremely well but one has to use some sense with these things ! Yes, it will be set off by things blowing around in front of it so position it facing a bare wall or fence if you can (or ensure that large plants are sufficiently far away) and don't leave it facing the sun. And anyway, the occasional 'false alarm' is a small price to pay for a cat-free garden !!I have yet to change the batteries and the unit is working as well as it did when first installed. As is my wont, I shall update this review should the product cease to function as it should at any stage. I will be very surprised if it makes it through the winter unscathed, but I shall certainly give it a go. If I have missed anything that you desperately wish to know, ask a question and I will do my best to respond...FVP.S. I have a field at the foot of my garden and to keep the cats away at that end - because another one of these would be a little extravagant - I have a PIR motion sensor built into an audio recorder onto which I have recorded the sound of a big dog barking loudly ! It's quite fun listening to their madly scrabbling paws when they first encounter it !! With both deterrents, I can finally breathe easy. AAAaaahhh...P.P.S. 09.04.2024 - Amazingly, the unit DID survive the winter (although I took it into the garage for three of the really cold days). I changed the batteries last month for the first time in ten months. It is still going strong, with no leaks, and I think that's pretty good...P.P.P.S 08.01.2025 - this item has finally broken as I forgot to take it inside during the latest really cold spell and the plastic has burst ! It's my fault. You can't question the quality of the product, really. And, frankly, even if I had to buy a new one every year, I think that's worth doing for the function that it performs...

It really works
Forget sonic and scented repellers, the only one that works instantly and permanently is this type. Some years ago my son moved into a house where the garden had not been kept tidy for 2 years and all the local cats found it a useful loo. We tried the other 'cures' which didnt work. Installed one of these and within a couple of days all the unwanted cats had found somewhere else to relieve themselves. The spray doesnt even have to touch them just the sudden movement and sound is enough. I've just bought one to keep the foxes out.

No more Pigeons
It is well made and easy to setup. Pigeons were landing and eating grass seed I put down in an area of my garden. Initially they were still landing and it was not going off placed about ten feet away from the area. I placed the unit in the area where the grass seed was and now it works fine. I would have given five stars but the sensor does reach as far as is stated. Overall I am impressed though.

It works but it is fragile.
Great product and has been very effective in stopping those pesky cats from pooping in my garden. Unfortunately, however, it has turned out to be somewhat fragile and completely snapped in 2 when it was blown over by the wind.

Works well as a cat deterrent
It took me a little while to set up, once set up it works well as a cat deterrent. I’ve brought three sonic deterrents that most of the cats ignore, and lion poo which the older cats keep away from, this however is a great deterrent works well along with an adult super soaker I aim close to the cats when, and if I manage to see them, both scare them, which is the point. I place it in a different part of the garden from time to time. After three weeks of using it and the super soaker, we are finally cat free!!! I’ve taken it out of the garden mostly but time to time set it up again to keep them out.

Shower Time!!!
The media could not be loaded. Easy to put together after I didn't in the first place 🙄 It was leaking so I took it apart, put tape round the joins and this time made sure I screwed it together right. I adjusted the spray to maximum and that was it. Ive bought this to keep herons away so it'll be out between March and October. Then I'll put it away in the shed to protect against frost 👍

£120 water bill
Good product in warm weather. First day of freezing temp caused leak, that went undetected for a few days. Costing over £100 in water charges.Beware.

Cat Zapper👍👍
I had suffered with cats digging my bark out of my plant beds and strewing it onto my decorative pebbles which could only be cleared by hand😡I tried the high pitch noise scarers, half filled water bottles, orange peel and even bought the Lion dung all to no availI purchased this water sprayer and what a resultI haven’t had to clear up sinceIt is brilliant and I would definitely recommend itDon’t think the Evri delivery man will thoHe went round the back to leave a delivery, when I went to the front door he was coming from the back dripping with waterIt zapped him on the way in and way outSo effectiveLove it
