I discovered quite by accident that my drain outside was blocked. I was putting some cement around the drain and removed the iron lid so as not to cement it shut! I needed some Drain Rods pronto, so ordered these with next day delivery! They are nice and flexible so will bend around corners if needed. The brass/metal fittings are strong and attach easily together. The two attachments easily unclogged my drain. £20 well spent! No idea how much Dyno-Rod would cost, but a lot more than that I suspect!

I had a blockage in an outside drain so bought these rods to help clear it. After a bit of trial and error the rod with the rubber seal did the trick, so really pleased with the outcome.

The rods were not flexible enough and snapped when bent inside the pipe.

Cheap and cheerful, perfect for a small diy job. Worked well for me but can’t see plumbers buying them.

Cleared our drains that were very blocked

I had a few snap where they screw into the next rod, so not the best quality. But, I’ve successfully used to unblock the poorly built drain in my partner’s new-build home, so I’ve already got my money’s worth! I’m assuming every time I use a few will snap tbh, so I might need another set soon. Still cheaper than calling in the professionals.
