I’ve been taking Life Extension a few weeks now and I can really feel the difference. I notice better energy throughout the day and less fatigue, especially in the afternoons. It also feels like my mental clarity and focus have improved. I like that it’s vegetarian, non-GMO, and gluten-free, which makes me feel more confident about the quality. The capsules are easy to swallow and don’t upset my stomach.

Some people seem to think they are going to "feel something" different when taking resveratrol supplements. It's not going to change your world, but when taking in combination with a healthy lifestyle (hence the term supplement), these polyphenol type antioxidants can promote healthy aging and help put in check reactive oxygen species that are present in stressed cells. Sometimes less is more, that's what this supplement is. If you look in the literature you can see some nice studies done using resveratrol-gallactomannin complexes that help aid in absorption and prolonged half-life in the blood. A major problem with resveratrol is bioavailbity and uptake. A large amount of it is primarly modified by your liver and promotes excretion with a low circulating time. Progress has been made to address this issue, and it's a very common problem in drug delivery in general, where things are too hydrophobic to be absorbed, and either passes right through, or is modified in a way that neutralizes its potential. Using resveratrol impregnated into gallactomannins (which is a unique carbohydrate structure), the uptake and half-life are significantly improved, and hence the ~40 mg of trans-resveratrol you get, embedded into a ~2-fold mass of delivery agent (gallactomannins) provides improved stability and delivery. A lot of research both prior and ongoing has been done on resveratrol and resveratrol derivitives, but again it's important to manage your expectations when taking anti-oxidant supplements. Would you expect to "feel something" when drinking a glass of cranberry or pomegranate juice? No. Antioxidants should come from a variety of dietary sources, and taking these capsules should not replace those other sources. It's a supplement. It's not going to relieve your pain or make you feel particularly amazing, but you can know the science is real behind cellular stress, which can be induced by free radicals. Polyphenols do a wonderful job of neutralizing those species, the problem is drug delivery and bioavailablity. The gallactomannin approach is a pretty clever and natural based way of addressing this specific problem. I will note that the capsules appear to have a more brownish/tannish color to them, which may or may not be indicative of purity. The majority of material in the capsule is going to be the carrier materials, as you are only getting 40 mg of trans-resveratrol per capsule.

Life extension always pricey, however it would be better taste for pills, otherwise, very helpful

Ok, seems to work

Please see the pictures. The container has watermarks all over which suggest that it was improperly stored in wet conditions even though the packing says "store in a cool, dry place". The inside of the container is coated with a layer of a yellow-green powder which means a few of the capsules have disintegrated inside the container itself. The entire package is seriously unappetizing. To top it off, this product is non returnable.
