I was initially skeptical, but something needed to be done about the incessant barking.We currently have five dogs. Three Poodles (1 Standard, 2 Miniatures), one German Shepherd Dog, and a Greater Pyrenees/Golden Retriever/Poodle mix (she looks like a Pyrenees, has the personality of a Golden, and the mouth of a Poodle). The GSD is protective and really quite quiet for the breed. The Pyrenees is also protective, but she barks at anything perceived to be a threat... endlessly. The three Poodles bark at ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. People. Cars on the road. The wind. Cats. Chickens. A leaf. Their imaginations. (The Standard Poodle also bays when she gets too worked up, showing the breed's hunting roots.)The first time I tried this device, it was a miracle. I pointed it out the window at the pack of barking K9s and, suddenly - silence. Glorious, beautiful, quiet. Three weeks later, our house and property are much quieter. One of the Miniature Poodles is not very bright and can't seem to learn anything permanently, so we still have some work to do. Rest assured, though - this ultrasonic deterrent works.Pros:Quality - No problems have been noted yet. It seems well-made and functions perfectly.Battery - I charged it the day it arrived - not a full charge because I wanted to test it out - and it is still working tonight.Cons:It's impossible to affect just one dog with it, making it problematic with only one dog (did I mention one of the Poodles is not smart?) misbehaving. If I have time, I send the others inside or to another room. I'm not sure how to resolve that issue unless an e-collar could be created that produces output that only reaches a few inches, thus allowing specific targeting.Sensitivity to it is very individual. You will get different levels of reactions from each dog, from them jumping over an (indoor) gate to looking at you like you're an annoying bug.They do seem to be desensitizing somewhat, so it would be beneficial to have slight variances in the output.

My neighbor recently got a somewhat aggressive dog that constantly barks at us at the fence and acts like it wants to eat us! Before confronting the neighbor and potentially causing a rift between families, I decided to try this to secretly "train" their dog. Worked immediately! Received in mail and fully charged it. Opened up our side garage door and waited for the inevitable aggressive barking/actions from their dog at the fence line. Sure enough, within a few moments it started. Pointed this awesome piece of engineering at the dog from about 20ft away and pushed the red button. Immediately the dog reacted, shut up, and ran back to their deck. To be sure, I intentionally provoked the dog by walking up to the fence. The dog immediately ran up to fence line barking and flexing his might. A quick push of the button again and it shut up and ran back to their deck. That was it. Rest of the day was peaceful. Hope this continues. 👍

While this product works, it scared the crap out of one of the 4 of my dogs. I would hit the button and she would run straight to either me or my wife and just curl up into a ball and shake with fear. Use are your own risk. I will not use this.

I guess it would be fine if you have only 1 pet. I would not recommend if you have multiple pets.

The sound only got his attention and had an effect. But the sound coupled with the strobe; worked, but left him a little screwed up in the head. After two uses, all I havevto do is pick it up and point and he goes back to the couch and lays down. It definetly messes with his mind. Problem solved

I wanted to wait to review this until I had it for a while. I have a 160 lbs cane corso that’s barks very loudly and constantly whenever he hears someone walking by or the mailman and it was becoming ridiculous because I work from home. I’ve tried the shock collar’s but those didn’t seem to work very well. A friend told me about this and I have to say she was 100% right. It’s portable so I can use it wherever I need to. My dog isn’t afraid of it but he knows when he sees it he needs to be quiet. Please make sure you read the instructions to ensure you are using it correctly. It suggest you are a certain distance away from your pet and the battery life etc.. Seeing how durable it is I don’t see me needing another anytime soon but if I did I’d buy this one again.
