Poly-Fil Is Literally Heaven In A 20lb Box
Let me preface this by saying that this was life changing for me, largely due to chronic pain from an accident, which also led to uneven furniture wear. When a drunk driver hit me while I was crossing the street, then left me for dead roughly 5 years ago, several metal plates were put into the right side of my face. Everything changed drastically after that, and one of those things was a new tendency to lean, or slouch in the opposite direction of where the plates are. The other issue is that one of those many plates is around my right eye, so even the softest pillow can feel as though it’s pushing the plate in. What wound up happening to all of my pillows and furniture was uneven wear. My furniture still looked brand new, but the couch cushions and throw pillows all looked somewhat deflated on one side, and it became difficult to sit on my couch due to the uneven wear. It seemed like the only sensible thing was to buy a new couch, new throw pillows and even a new mattress.Looking online for other solutions to this problem resulted in discovering Poly-Fil. It made the most sense to get a 20 pound box so that it would be there whenever it was needed. After taking a chance and ordering it, my girlfriend and I began taking the zippered couch cushion covers off and filling in the bottom area where the uneven areas were. Then my girlfriend made small incisions into the throw pillows and stuffed those with Poly-Fil as well. To say that this was a game changer would be a huge understatement. Once we sat on the couch, it felt brand new again, and my nerve pain wasn’t increased due to lack of soft plush pillow and couch seat support. At that point, the pillows that would normally be replaced every 6 months were filled with Poly-Fil as well. It was so amazing that anything we could find that could handle extra Poly-Fil was also stuffed. Poly-Fil is literally heaven in a 20 pound box. It’s strong, yet soft, and the pillows that would normally be thrown out for new ones every 6 months haven’t needed to be changed in well over a year and a half. Just the feeling of having soft, cushy support back, and realizing that even with my new tendency to lean to the opposite side of my accident plates could be addressed for roughly the price of a large popcorn and 2 movie tickets at a BTX theater is absolutely incredible. This is worth every single penny because now my couch and every pillow in my apartment feels and looks absolutely brand new again. My concerns of having to buy a new couch aren’t even a passing thought anymore. While the pillows still feel new, every once and a while I add more Poly-Fil to one side of each couch cushion to maintain its shape and comfort. Poly-fil is definitely a five star, game changing product me, and its saved me from having to buy a new couch, as well as an all new pillow set every few months. It’ll never get rid of my chronic pain, but, when sleep is possible, for the few precious, sometime random hours when rest is possible, that time feels absolutely heavenly.

Great for Viral Cloud Ceilings
Used to make a cloud ceiling in my home office. Came out GREAT! It was very soft, there was no smell, and it is very lightweight. Very easy to use. I just bought wayyy more than I needed but at least I have extra if need it again.

Sooo much stuffing!
I bought an oversized un-stuffed Snorlax plushy for my husband, and it was suggested to use around 10lb of stuffing, I found this 20lb box and it was only a few dollars more than buying a 10lb box elsewhere - "Awesome!" I thought, "I'll have half leftover for my crafts!"Well, I only used about an 8th of the box for Snorlax and I have a 50 year supply of stuffing remaining! HahaHumorous anecdote aside, this a very good price for this amount of stuffing, I make crochet characters and plushies myself so, although flabbergasted, I'm extremely happy that I have all this leftover stuffing because it's going to get used eventually. The quality is also very nice (I'm thinking that this is the reason why I needed so little compared to what was recommended)I've worked with a few different types of stuffing over the years and I really love this stuff, you can pack it down very densely or use it sparingly and the end result of the item is very nice, no clumpy lumps (in my batch I didn't find any dense, tight balls of stuffing like with other brands) and no gaps (the fibers themselves are very fine which means that when in a plushy for example, it's very good at dispersing itself throughout the entire item without gaps)Of course there is a technique to making sure you don't pack it down in lumps but that's another story..Overall I'm extremely pleased with my 50 years supply of great quality stuffing!I would say that I'd buy again but I don't think I'll need to!

One box fills a life sized Jiu Jitsu dummy with material to spare.
Works great for stuffing dolls or martial arts dummies. There was no noticeable scent or stickiness to this material. It has good weight and softness. It is a huge box so don't buy more than you need. It has a white color.Highly recommend this product!

Mistakes were made. 5 lbs will be overkill for your project.
Excellent, but now I need projects to do to use up the rest.I waaaaay over bought on this. I thought to myself "If I need approximately enough polyfill for a human sized pillow, I'll buy 20lbs and see how far it goes. I bet those jumbo carnival toys weigh more than that." Mistakes were made.If you are pranking a friend, by filling a solid color costume body suit with polyfill get 5lbs. it will be plenty. You will probably have leftovers. Also if you get the 20lbs-er, plan to use 10 lbs right away. You will never get the leftovers back into the box.Wear a dust mask and prepare to vacuum after.Quality product.
