So although I have had a PS5 Edge for 2 years now I'd never really go into using the back buttons properlyRecently the past few months I've been playing Lies of P and the past few weeks Stellar BladeLies of P I had the left back to block and right back button to one of the attack buttons which allowed me to use the other essential face buttons to heal in the middle of a fight properlyI mapped similar controls when going into Stellar Blade due to the very similar nature of the combat and the need to block, parry and attack while dodging, healing etcThe right back button stopped being springy after about 6 weeks of playing Lies of P but found I could swap the levers over and have them in a different position and still have the spring when pressing.Stella Blade I've been playing loads the past month but a couple of days ago the back left (mapped to attack) began to be less responsive, by yesterday there was no spring in it and very difficult to get the button engaged which is the last thing you want in a game like this.Ordered the kit this morning and had it delivered in less than 12 hoursI have already had to open up my PS5 edge multiple times due to upgrading the battery initially and then after the back plate cracked I had to buy a replacement which again was from ExtremeRateThe kit was impressive, including more than enough of each type of screw you remove from the controller to replace with brand new screws but also has a couple of spare of each type and of the springs in case they are lost during disassemblyThe hardest part of this whole install is just the disassembly and since there are no electronic pieces or connections that need to be unplugged this is VERY easy to install if you are patient and follow the videoTurns out one of the back button attachments the arm that they rock on to allow the connection and disconnection has broken off.I replaced both sides as I read the ExtremeRate are stronger material, I tested fully before I put the back plate back on and seemed responsive .Then threw the broken rocker away , put the back cover on and used ALL new screws for closing back up.All is working 100% and I'm left with one spare (original) magnetic rocker mechanism, the original plates and a tonne of screws and springs and packaged back up so that should another break in the future I have a replacement to tide me over until I purchase another kitI am EXTREMELY glad that ExtremeRate make these kits and the others they do for the PS5 Edge else I would be paying out of warranty fix prices to Sony or throwing the controller away.Recommended to all that use their PS5 Edge a lot because these controllers need love, caring and regular maintenance to be on top form.My hope would be that Sonys next premium controller takes the modularity concept even further, but we will see, but as for the product? So far 5 Stare and a recommendWill come back in the future should the parts break, but fingers crossed

Fantastic bit of kit.If you had an issue where when you try to pull the paddle, it moves out of place, this is all you need to fix it.Saves an amazing controller from a single flaw.Well done guys.

This is the second time my back button has broke in the same way (the pin snapped).The first time it happened I had to return the controller and get a new replacement because I couldnt find this 1 little part anywhere online. It just happened again but thankfully extremerate is making them now.I bought 3 sets because ive been down this road before with back button mods, Its always good to have spares 😁Easy to install and they are as good as the original. Highly recommend.

My paddles broke about a year ago and ever since then I have been looking at ways to fix them, drilling holes and adding pieces of metal and getting it half working... finally gave up and just bought a new controller for 200, the day after I buy the controller these go on sale on amazon.. fml.. but in terms of the product these are perfect, I found them easy to install and my controller is back to like new again

I’m really impressed with the product quality, everything came in the kit as expected and the YouTube video describing the steps was absolutely brilliant, as long as you pay close attention and do exactly as described you will have to perfect working back buttons again!I’ve had such a great time playing since the fix as my back buttons feel so responsive!I would recommend this to anyone, great product and company! It was so needed by the community!Ps/ I thought it hadn’t worked once I had the controller set up, but it turns out it had switched the button profile to default without bindings to the back buttons, so if that happens just switch back to your custom button profile.

I was getting random inputs on the back buttons on the edge controller. These things fixed it. Took 30 minutes to install with the little video link qr code.Absolutely blown away that I’m not throwing £200 in the bin.You absolute legends x
