For the price this helmet ranks a 5. It may not be the best looking but it is a well ventilated and I like the way it is sized. My previous helmet was a small and the band had to opened up all the way. The medium was way too big but I later found that I had to have a second helmet to accommodate a cap in winter. These use different sizing -the medium is small enough to not look over sized and big enough to accommodate a knit cap. My guess is that Medium will accommodate size 6¾ - 7¼. I wear a 7 and the adjuster is set about in the middle. I also like that it is better vented than most, is light and the internal structure seems a good thing. Also the pads a nice. The user guide says the can be cleaned. The fabric feels much sturdier than the cheap pads that fall apart so easily on my previous helmet. The mat finish, I decided, is a nice touch.

This is a decent helmet at a good price. It's very comfortable, lightweight, and the air vents work well.The helmet size is adjustable, but if your head size is on the larger size of the range listed, I suggest you get the next larger size. I got the M/L and my head size is 59 CM. It fits, but there isn't a lot a adjustability left.

The Team Obsidian 'Airflow' helmet has a colored 'shell' that looks like it's actually fused with the styrofoam base, meaning it's all one piece. For me, this uniform design is cleaner & is simply the way it should be.There are two U.S. CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) compliance labels underneath.The side straps that come down your ears are adjusted using a simple, but clever, flip-lock buckle. To adjust the strap on either side, you 'unlock' the buckle by flipping a piece outward to loosen its grip on the strap, then pushing back the same piece inward to lock the strap in place. To me, this is much faster than the belt-like adjustment on other brands' helmets.The chin strap has a click lock with a contrasting red color & a microfiber-like padded chin guard that can be removed if you wish. The chin strap's length uses a traditional belt buckle type adjustment, but is otherwise easy to do. A substantially wide (about 1/4 inch) elastic band keeps the excess length tucked-in neatly.You can fine-tune the fit by turning an adjustment dial in the rear. The dial's edges have a red non-slip silicone border to help your fingers get a grip when turning. There's a vertical (height) adjustment feature mentioned on the Amazon product page. Unfortunately, the included documentation in the box does not describe how to do it. The plastic parts of the adjustment system are identical in quality to the other more expensive helmets I have.There are 22 large air vents. The foam pads inside don't appear to be any different in quality from others I've seen, though they are obviously narrow since they must fit in the slim space between the vents. I measured my head at 56 cm., so I ordered a size S/M, which goes up to 58 cm. per the size chart. It was a true to size out of the box & fit snugly as a helmet should. I did turn the rear adjustment dial both ways just to see how the fit changes, but the size range felt right.Overall, this helmet is comparable to others that cost far more. The S/M size was $20 at the time of this review. In my opinion, that's a great deal.

After adjusting it fits well and I’m happy.

For the price we were amazed at the quality of this helmet. It fits great, is lightweight, and is great for the warm weather here in Florida. If I need another one, I would buy it again.

I've worn more comfortable helmets but they all cost a lot more. This one is still plenty comfortable, not the best, but still good. More importantly, it is certified for safety. So if you want a few (a lot really) more money in hand for other items or even a mid ride ice cream, this is your helmet.

Excellent fit, adjustability and value for the money. This helmet compares favorably to much more expensive helmets. The helmet is well made, light weight, flows air well, and looks good.update: I crashed my bike on black ice and slammed my head to the pavement before I could do anything to prevent it. The impact felt like someone had smacked an open hand real hard on my helmeted head, but no worse. The impact was immediately dissipated and absorbed by the helmet. I didn't even get a headache but the helmet suffered a one inch crack and a five inch crack spread radially from the temple impact site, a total loss but the helmet saved me from a certain fractured skull and concussion, or worse. Thank you Team Obsidian for a well made helmet. I immediately ordered a new replacement helmet and it arrived today. Five well earned stars for this helmet.

Easy to adjust to head size. Light weight and look great.

The helmet arrived very fast, in a great package and in perfect condition.It is extremely light, which makes you wonder at first, but I've already tested it on the long run and I'm happy to say that it remained comfortable and light even after I used it for a few hours.The shape is also very aerodynamic and the inside assures a good grip and a comfortable positioning.The safety straps are also easy to adjust and to secure and they are very comfortable as well. I find this very important as I used to have a helmet that was scratching my skin with its straps and it was a great pain to wear it.i'm also happy I chose the white color because it doesn't heat up while wearing it on sunny days.I definitely recommend this product. It's worth every cent!!!

I bought this helmet as my then current helmet had become uncomfortable to wear and seemed to have a design flaw that finally I couldn't put up with any longer. I wanted a helmet that was both comfortable and afforded protection. TeamObsidian claim this will be the most comfortable helmet you will ever wear. I can't say how accurate that is other than it is the most comfortable I have worn to date. Adjustment was a doddle and the knob to tension the interior straps is large enough to grip with cycling gloves on, yet not so big as to be unwound by the collar on your jacket (which was the case with my old helmet.As far as protection is concerned it does seem well constructed and fits well which goes a long way, however until you need it to work you will not know how much protection it affords.

Well the helmet arrived and I thought the box was empty as it was so light. The fit was excellent and helped by the adjustable small wheel at the back. Very light on the head with comfortable chin straps. Well worth the extra money. Thank you Team Obsidian

it's a very light helmet but feels comfortable when wearing it.You can adjust it easily to make it tighter or looser. Hopefully I don't have to use it in case of an accident, but I'm sure it'll protect me. I'm really happy with the product.

This is the lightest helmet I've had. It's well vented, comfortable fit, easily adjustable, and my wife says it looks good! Seems to be sturdy, haven't tested it with any head on pavement yet and hopefully I won't have to.
