The green laser is plenty bright for typical indoor use. The self-leveling works great, but, as with other similar devices, you do have to have it close to level (within 4 degrees of level) for it to work. It will let you know if tolerances have been exceeded for the self-leveling to work. I also love that it has a manual mode so that it can be used for establishing straight lines other than level. I think it's a positive that it works on disposable batteries that are easy to replace because, when they run low, they can be immediately replaced rather than waiting for charge time. One thing I do with all of my devices that run on disposable batteries is to remove them whenever it's going to be a few days or more between use to avoid the potential of damage by a battery that happens to leak. I haven't had this device very long, but initial impression is that it is solidly built and good quality. This level is a great value for the price compared to other brands.

I needed a new laser level because my old one was ruined by leaking batteries. I didn't want to spend too much on a new one that might have the same problem. After significant research, I found this one. It's been great for many reasons, one of which, is that you don't have to mess with batteries (it's rechargeable). It also has more laser options than my old one, which is nice. It took me a bit to figure out all the features (more features, more to figure out). Considering the quality, AND the price, it's definitely 5 stars in my book.

this works well for the occasional user. if you're a pro, perhaps the bosch for $1000 is the right solution. for a homeowner doing periodic DIY, this is great, and a great price.

I purchased this laser level in June 2025 and used it only twice before it stopped working. The device still powers on, but the laser lines no longer light up. I understand that defects can happen, but what disappoints me the most is the complete lack of customer support. I tried calling the customer service phone number provided, but the number appears to be disconnected or not working. I then decided to send an email to the address listed, but the message bounced back and could not be delivered. How can you sell a product and simply assume that 100% of units will be perfect, while effectively depriving customers of any real way to make a claim or request support when something goes wrong? This is very frustrating and not what I expect when buying a tool like this.
