Smart, compact and powerful it has ample outputs to drive the switch and the network hub which wants to see 12V at 1.5A at a remote distance of 20m. That being said it required 2 x1.5mm2, approximately slightly over 16AWG, speaker cable I had a reel of, to be doubled to two terminal junction boxes as the path is 40m for the calculation of voltage drop and by doubling the cable for all but the last metre, effectively 3mm2, halves the resistance. The hub needs as near as possible the 12V to function properly. As regards functionality, testing by switching off the mains input was seamless. The battery life really needs only to be sufficient to allow a controlled shut-down, but as noted elsewhere gives a back-up time of a couple of hours with even more load. The battery is lithium-based. In the photo the installation in the garage is on a metal shelf backed by cement board as it is not monitored. The small print says "Do not install on a flammable surface", so on the basis of, 'if something can happen, it probably will', take reasonable precautions. Edit: The BT Smart Hub2 takes a non-standard DC power barrel plug at 5.5mm outer x 3.0mm inner diameter. SKE are not expected to supply leads for every obscure port, it is NOT a compatibility issue with the mini ups unit, just source an adaptor which takes the standard 2.1mm dc power plug, I found a supplier in Chichester, Sussex.

My old line UPS died. I needed to power 3 devices (router, and 2 hubs) and got this instead of several separate UPS. It has 3 power output ports. 1x9V and 2x12V each one can provide 2A. There is also a USB output 5V/3A. It looked like it would be ideal for me.The device comes with 2 Y cables. One is 2 x 5.5*2.5 and the other is 1 x 5.5&1.5 + 1 x 3.5*1.35. The Y leads are very long and they had no problem reaching my devices from the UPS. Mains lead was short (about 80cm).The unit does beep when the turned on and also when the power is off but runs everyting nicely. When the power goes off and the battery is about to run out, the UPS makes a double beep warning. The UPS was able to power my 3 devices for 1.5 hours until the low battery beep started (about 40W load)..The only problem I found was the positioning of the power ports. The outputs are all on the front panel and the mains input is on the side. This makes standing the UPS on end a problem. Having the unit flat means the power lead sticks out to the side so you can't have anything close to it. Having the output leads on the front makes it a bit untidy and the leads stick out a long way. It would be a lot better if they were all on the same side, preferably on the rear.

1 year in and it has been pretty good.We've had a few power fluctuations which it handled well, but not full blown outages more than a few minutes, luckily.I'd need to test manually for how long it can last with the current load, but I reckon it should be able to still do 2h easily.Nice audible notifications when it switches power sources (battery vs AC), but not all throughout an outage to drive you crazy like traditional APC UPSes for example.

Supplied leads do NOT fit the BT Smart Hub! Despite what is said in some reviews you will have to make up a lead. This is a great pity as the unit itself is solid and seems well made. A solid 12volt output and some weight to the unit. If the lead fitted and was easily available it would be 5 stars without question.

Up and running out of the box and connected to a Vodafone Power Hub. We had several short power cuts in the past 3 months and it switches to backup without issue. Barrel connectors to equipment are not standardised, so should the cable supplied not fit your equipment, adapters are readily available from amazon for a few pounds.

After a power outage yesterday I decided to take the plunge and see if I can keep my BT Openreach ONT (Nokia G-010G-Q) and Sky Router (SR203 - Hub 4) online during a power cut. I measured the power usage for the ONT which averages around 2.4W and my Sky router is averages around 9.5W.Working on 12W usage, I calculate it should give at least 32.7 Wh on 12V DC, which is a little over 2.5hours usage.It seems decent so far, seems well made, is totally silent, it has hooks on the back so you can mount it to the wall and came with a UK plug.It's been powering my ONT and Sky Hub for 2hours so far as a test and it's still showing at least 50% battery capacity, so I'd say this should be pretty close to 4hours of protection. The included cable works fine for the ONT, using the 5.5x2.1mm barrel. For my Sky SR203 router, I had to order an adapter from eBay for £3.99 (4.8x1.7mm Male to 5.5x2.1mm Female DC Adapter) as the supplied cables didn't fit.

Estos cortes de suministro por protección son correctos e idóneos para sistemas no críticos, pero en sistemas con mayor criticidad, yo no los dejaría enchufado a este UPS, ya que ante cualquier incidencia, corta electricidad sin previo aviso, justo lo contrario de lo que nos gustaría para cualquier dispositivo conectado a una UPS. Die von mir gekaufte USV verfügt über einen 9‑V‑Anschluss sowie zwei 12‑V‑Ausgänge. Im Lieferumfang ist ein Y‑Kabel enthalten. Damit betreibe ich gleichzeitig eine Fritz!Box und ein Glasfaser-Modem.Bei der angeschlossenen Fritz!Box handelt es sich um das Modell 7530 AX. Im Gegensatz zu den größeren Fritz!Box-Modellen nutzt dieses Modell ein Netzteil mit 12 V und 1,5 A, sodass die USV ausreichend Leistung bereitstellt. Am zweiten Ausgang ist ein Glasfaser-Modem der Telekom (Modem 2) angeschlossen. Der mitgelieferte Stecker passt zwar nicht perfekt, funktioniert aber problemlos.Beide Geräte laufen bei einem Stromausfall zuverlässig weiter. Insgesamt ist dies eine gute und kostengünstige Alternative zu einer großen USV. Allerdings lassen sich bei diesem Modell keine Einstellungen vornehmen. Das Startgeräusch kann nach aktuellem Stand nicht deaktiviert werden, und es fehlen die üblichen Konfigurationsoptionen einer klassischen USV. Für den einfachen Einsatz ist das Gerät jedoch sehr empfehlenswert.
