Easy DIY part
It works well. I canโt say this shifter fixed my initial issue for my washer. But after I fixed the washer correctly it worked just as good as the original whirlpool one.

Cheap Fix!
Saved me for the second time. My whirlpool dryer would start a cycle and just rotate a couple times slow and then light up that the cycle was over and the lid would unlock, never even dispersing water. I bought this part last year as a Hail Mary and it was a perfect fix. Fast forward a year later and same problem but I knew the cause. I canโt say that it was the part the second time I believe I just have a cheaply made washer that eats them. Will probably buy another to have on hand.

Clothes Do Not Get Clean
This part does not work properly. It barely agitates the washer and so your clothes do not get clean. I noticed after a few loads that at the end of the cycle the clothes are in exactly the same position that I placed them in, only wet. Would not recommend it. I purchased an original part afterwards, which I could not find on Amazon, and the washer is working exactly as it did when new.

As good as original part
After reading several articles on how this part fails frequently and it seemed to relate to my Maytag washers issues. I decided since a appliance parts site wanted $78 for what seems to be same part as the one on Amazon for $21 I decided to try the Amazon part. It has solved my issues and appears to be a exact match for the original. Unfortunately I do not see any improvements so I would expect the part to fail again. At least its a simple replacement procedure just swap out part and recalibrate machine.

10 minute fix
I had a machine given to me owner says it start making noise when it was fully loaded so he just got a new machine. Wanted it gone so I picked it up. It looking great shape but made noise when shifting i got new actuator nice and quiet on two loads it's going on market place today!
