This is a great firestarter that works very well. It's reasonablly priced. It easily fits in or on a backpack, it's lightweight and has extra features that are useful like the emergency whistle and paracord to name a few. I highly recommend this item.

Very sturdy. It works no problem! I am very pleased with this purchase. Quality feels good. Amazing tool to have in a survival kit. And it surely works starting fires.

Easy to use and gets ya cooking in no time. Purchased this with a small backpacking stove for my kids to use. I showed them how to spark it once and they had a fire going and boiling water in about 30 minutes. The whistle is nice but if you have kids maybe get one without :). They should last for a long time and they are light enough I don't notice them in my pockets l. They are safer then a lighter.

Searched for a while for a decent fire stick and this is the winner. Easily makes GIANT sparks. You should have no trouble getting an ember. Paracord with emergency accessories is a very solid bonus. Durable and great value.

Works well with some effort

Great product.

A bit tricky to get the hang of, but once you do, it works as designed. Definitely practice though because there’s a learning curve, and believe me, you don’t want to find that out when getting a fire going is of the utmost importance. I have one in with the camping equipment, one in the car, and another in the disaster box at the house. Not much day to day value unless you are an avid outdoorsman, but it’s inexpensive, small and easy to store. Good to have in case of emergency.

This is so cool to have - and it comes with plenty of paracord in case you want to make the lanyard longer or use the paracord for something.You definitely have to strike with force to get a good bit of sparks - which is also nice because it means my kids could hardly get anything from it. So in a sense it's childproof.
