The description states: bone china. The bottom is very thick. The cup is heavy. The porcelain should be thin and visible through the sun.

If youโre looking for a nice tea set for 4 people, without a huge investment, this is a lovely choice. Yellow color is beautiful and the peony motif well-done. My only complaint would be that the set does not offer cream & sugar bowls to match. I use a set I have in white with a yellow rim, which works very well. It does, however, offer a matching two-tier serving piece for tea sandwiches, scones or other treats. Makes for a nice tableโฆ๐บ
