Great price and the product works well. When you compare it to the gold standard in aquarium par meter (Apogee MQ-510) you need to take the reading and multi-ply it by 1.25 to get the same reading as the Apogee. But for the price and knowing your PAR, it is an outstanding product.

Bought for reef tank, works as it should. Got me dialed in.

The product worked perfectly and was very easy to use. I appreciated the larger, adjustable size, which made it feel quite user-friendly overall. However, I was disappointed with its durability. Despite cleaning and drying it properly after each use, it began to rust fairly quickly. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something long-lasting or if using it on salt water. I’d suggest doing some research and possibly spending a bit more for a higher-quality, more durable option. We unfortunately have to toss it and find a new one.

This PAR meter is accurate for Reef lighting measurements for the average reef aquarium hobbyist. Probably not research grade, but most certainly good enough for the hobbyist.

This PAR meter definitely does not come within the 98% range of the infamous APOGEE accuracy. I know this because I've used the said Apogee on a loan basis. This meter is off by approximately 20-30 par, is that a game changer for this piece of equipment in its price range? hell no. This par meter was just what I needed to guarantee coral placement and subsequently, maximum success. Everyone need somewhere to start so my recommendation would be to start here with the DANOPLUS you won't regret it, get the bang you deserve for your bucks.(The 1 star removed for lack of perfection is not a problem) who gets perfection anyway?

This really worked for my reef tanks par level! Just be sure to visit youtube on how to adjust it by x 1.7 other than that your all good!

Unit appears to be well made. Unable to confirm the accuracy of the unit until comparing to an Apogee, but after initial use numbers seem to be where I would expect them to be.

Ik heb de meter 1x getest daarna is hij weer in de doos teruggegaan. Dus ik vindt dat je wel kan stellen dat de meter nieuw is Toen ik hem daarna weer wilde gebruiken deed hij het niet meer . Ik heb contact gehad met danoplus en zij stelde dat ik er verkeerd mee ben omgegaan, Hier ben ik het niet mee eens,ik heb de sensor eigenlijk maar 1x in het water gehad en niet meer De sensor vervangen moet worden voor usd 52,60 Dit ga ik natuurlijk niet doen en danoplus krijgt van mij dus daarom 0 sterren Vriendelijke groeten Robin Huisman

Par mètre, très fiable et précis, plug and play

So helpful and insightful rather than just guessing intensities! I was originally running 4 XR15 blues and an AI blade glow all at 100% thinking the tank didn’t look that bright and PAR output on them is low according to forums. Turns out I was cooking LPS and getting 300 par on the sand. Dialled everything down thanks to the readings from this and LPS is looking better and SPS are still getting 350+. Easy to use, just turn it on and point, not much more to it. Definitely turn wavemakers off to stop surface agitation, other wise you’ll cause light ripples which will make the numbers jump all over. Be mindful of the version you receive. The green dot sticker on the box will indicate which you have with the ones that have the green dot on the front being the newest and most accurate.
