I bought these 7" shoes for pole-dancing. I would not recommend for a Friday night girls' night unless you want to tempt fate and break your ankle. 7" high is pushing it. The platform is about 3" high, maybe more, so they feel more like wearing a 4" heel. If you are an 8 1/2 I strongly suggest buying a 9. If you are buying these to dance in and you buy the 8, your toes will hang over the edge and you'll lose your polish/possibly stub them whilst dragging your shoes during dance transitions. I dance in these weekly (sliding, smacking, dragging) and the chrome finish on the platform and heel still looks like new. Not a scratch on them after two months!

I love these! I bought them for my pole class, but they're nice enough that I could probably wear them out somewhere if I wanted to. I usually wear a 9-10 in shoes and I got these in a 10 since I heard they run a bit small. The 10 fits great. The heel is really tall but they aren't actually that hard to walk in, and they're pretty comfortablr too. They feel very stable. The faux leather looks really good. Definitely worth the money!

I loved the way these looked and fit but they broke the second time I wore them to a pole class!! Snapped right in the middle of the toe strap on the right shoe. I was so so so disappointed. Beautiful shoes but better for decoration than any real use.
