What is the hole size required to fit the stem through? I know this comes with the hand tool of ?mm, but I need to get one for my green machine.

The large one size with the cap, post and base all are 8 mm (5/ 16 inch), small one size with the cap, post and base all are 6 mm (1/ 4 inch) and there are groove on the base that can fix rivet and prevent rivet knocking bending and sliding, one side groove of the the base size is 8 mm and another side is 6 mm.

What are the smallest diameter pop rivets i can buy?

I bought some from a local supplier which were 2.4mm these people are specialist fastener suppliers that is the smallest they can get.
