Beko Frost Free - Delivered Five Days Earlier Than Estimated
I recently sent a Beko frosty freezer to another home to make way for a frost free freezer and had no hesitation in buying this model since I've found Beko fridges and freezers good and reliable in the past. I got an email from Co-oP Electrical, the sellers, the day before delivery giving me a one hour delivery window, which was only slightly exceeded. The two men delivering it unpacked it and took away all the polystyrene and cardboard after putting it in the kitchen, telling me to let it stand for four hours before switching on. Now that's service. I left it on fast freeze over night and checked it the next morning. Wow - it felt so cold inside and yet NO FROST, yippee! I nipped off to to the supermarket to stock up on frozen stuff, got back and shoved it in, and left it to itself for a couple of hours. Again, NO FROST.As to capacity, it is as roomy as my previous frosty one so no change there, it suits me, a single man, and I reckon it would be hard to find a bigger one in the under-counter range. As to noise, the compressor pump motor makes no more than you would expect - a gentle hum, and the fan that blows the frozen air around the inside can only be heard when you open the door to get something out.The only slight criticism, which does not lose a star from me, is that the thermostat dial on the right of the fast freeze compartment does not have a knurled knob, but I can still turn it OK now I've learned which way it turns.I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

A good little freezer for the garage
Wanted a new freezer to stand in the garage. This fitted the bill. Still don’t understand the rating system. Advertised as A rated but documentation stated F! Lots of storage space inside unlike some other freezers. Looks good and so far works well. Pity not self defrosting and has no drainage ‘Shute’ to let defrosted water out. Another poor feature is that the setting control dial is at the back of the freezer and hard to get to when in situ. Otherwise very pleased with the purchase.

Good little freezer for the price.
Freezer works well, we purchased for extra freezing capacity and it is located in the garage, only gripe would be the controls are at the back so would be a little bit annoying if it was under a worktop in the kitchen but no problem for us as its in the garage.

Neat and compact
Appears to be working well. The drop down drawer to the top bin is rather poorly constructed (weak) as are all the bins, but this is to be expected with a relatively cheap freezer. It’s fairly quiet and certainly freezes food.

5 year review.
It's working fine after five years – that's a bonus. Temperature in top compartment -24.8C so that's fine too. I purchased this in October 2018 to replace an ageing freezer that I hated defrosting. The Beko was the same dimensions as the old one and my first surprise was when I wanted to transfer the food across (with the old freezer only 75% full) was that it wouldn't all fit in. Fortunately, I could leave the excess in the old freezer for a while. I then had the misfortune/stupidity(!) to buy some cheap food to freeze and, five years later, I have two freezers!!The two main reasons for purchasing the Beko were that (A) it was a frost free and (B) it could be used in a cool space such as a garage. As regards (A). I didn't find it to be frost free. As regards (B) it has worked very well in a cold environment. Yesterday, I defrosted my frost free Beko freezer. This is at least the second (and possibly third) time I have had to do so. This is roughly the same frequency as my old freezer. The need to defrost is manifested by a buildup of solid ice at the bottom of the lowest tray. I can tell when is a problem because the bottom tray becomes sticky as it nearly gets embedded in the forming ice and I have to jiggle it around carefully to release it and access the food contents. At least it's much easier to defrost (de-ice?) Than the old freezer. Simply extract the food, switch it off and wait an hour or so. The block of ice at the bottom of lower tray can be separated quite easily from the plastic beneath it – usually half a kilogram or so that can be extracted in one lump and chucked. Over the next half hour water appears in the bottom of the lowest tray and needs to be mopped up. The de-icing process is therefore quite time consuming.Much easier than defrosting the old bog standard freezer, but not what I expected from frost free!I have issues with the freezer trays. I store bread in the top tray and access it frequently. On several occasions. The hinged front panel has come out in my hand and I have great difficulty in re-engaging it properly. The freezer door is open, fan comes on and compressor runs and my fingers get increasingly cold, and I get frustrated by inability to sort the thing out. It may well be due to my inability, misunderstanding etc, but I don't find it pleasant. A few breadcrumbs accumulate in the top tray which is not problem. However, a few drop through to the second tray and stick between the tray and the Perspex front panel. I cannot see how to separate the panel from the tray - if indeed you can. The breadcrumbs therefore remain in clear view. When you open the freezer door and, presumably, deteriorate over time. Probably not unhygenic given the temerature, but an eyesore that good dedign would have eliminated.

Great budget freezer that can work in cold spaces.
I'm actually keeping this on an enclosed balcony -- not sure how durable that will be, but so far so good and it's unlikely to be affected by rain.Plus points:Large capacity for sizeDrawers and ice tray can be removed, so you can just use the shelves they sit onCan run in low temperature conditions (minus 15) so ideal for my placementMinus points:Thermostat control on rear, so quite hard to reachDrawers are a little flimsy - you need to be carefulNo indicator light to show that it's actually running

Beko Freezer
We purchased this to provide additional freezer space having had the kitchen refurbished and not enough space in the new fridge/freezer. Had previously had a BEKO fridge freezer, so this is almost the equivalent freezer to that. It was easy to set up and there is plenty of space to meet our requirements. It sits very neatly under the window ledge at the dining end of the kitchen and has the added bonus of a very useful top onto which I have been able to place a number of items that I do not wish to keep on the dining table. Well worth the money. Delivery was on time when expected.
